Teal-Riffic!

Well, this is for my Twi-Girls. Especially Tonya. I have mentioned in the TTIC forums (we have so much fun there!), how I have been sporting the Goth look (with intermissions of Raver, Medieval, and a couple of other extreme looks) since I was like… 13 or 14. I have been dying my hair all sorts of colors like blue, pink, green, etc since I was in high school. The look had to be temporarily shelved because maternity clothes are SO not cool, and the whole, don’t dye your hair while you’re pregnant thing. So, I had to suffer with normalcy for a couple of years. What a tragedy, I know. But, I finally, FINALLY took the time to bleach out and colorize myself the way I used to. And I am proud to say that Phoenix picked out the color (which happened to be the one I was secretly hoping for!). Feast your eyes on this folks…

I also did up my makeup a bit, though you can’t really tell in this photo. I am not the “typical” Alison in this pic… but you can at least get an idea of how I like to look. I am thrilled with the color; it’s always been my fave color to dye my hair. And little Phoenix said “Mommy, Phi like your hair.” Precious! I am so happy he likes it!

WOW. i love the teal colour.
i dyed mine a similar colour a couple of months ago. =] it's pink now though.

WOWZERS!!! I love it!! As Julie said, you are just FIERCE!! You are incredibly brave my lady!! I am so jealous!! I love how your hair turns out. You are REALLY good at applying the makeup. I like the butterfly or fairy (I can't tell) on the side of your face in the ren pic. You look GORGEOUS! How fun your life is! Good for you!!

Mediterranean Dreams Shaker

Hello! Today I have a card that features the Mediterranean Dreams Subscription Kit from White Rose Crafts.  This fabulous Subscription Kit brings together sparkling, azure Mediterranean seas, sun-bleached shores and the rich colors of vibrant Mediterranean cultures in a carefully curated kit. I knew I just had to try the Jillibean Soup shaker card and I chose to use one of the stamps (from Kaisercraft) to make my background. I stamped the seashell with Tea Dye Distress Oxide all over the background of the card. Then I applied some Walnut Stain Distress Oxide to my craft mat, spritzed it with some water, and splattered it on to my card base. Last, I inked the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide with a Mini Blending Brush. For my sentiment, I die cut a stitched rectangle from my stash, out of the pearly yellow cardstock that came in the kit and stamped it with "Wish You Were Here" stamp from the same "Summer Splash" stamp set, with StazOn Pigment ink. Echo Park Blog Hop with Imagine

Greetings! This is my second post for the day. This one is not part of the 31 Days of Halloween, but rather a super-duper blog hop that the Artists in Residence for Imagine are doing with Echo Park . So if you're here for my Day 7 project, please check out the post HERE . But before you do that, scroll on to check out this one. There are prizes up for grabs, so be sure to check out the Imagine Blog as well as the Echo Park Blogs for details. I created my background by applying Dandelion and Tangelo Memento Ink to my brayer. Then I sprayed it with Ink Potion No. 9 to help the colors blend and to act as an extender to keep the inks wet longer. After I rolled the colors out on to watercolor paper and let it dry, I stamped the lovely doily-like image from Echo Park's Simply Sweet Stamp Set with Grape Jelly Memento. I also received the super pretty Heart Doily Designer Die  which I used with a true purple cardstock. But it needed something....and in rolls the super fabul...
