21st Century Pillow Book

Greetings! It's Friday, and I have a new Dilly Beans challenge to share with you. This week's theme is Winter. Dilly Beans has a ton of fabulous Winter-themed images, so it certainly shouldn' bbe hard for you to play along. Here's my card. I tried something I have done only once or twice before. Paper Piecing. I'm not very good at it, apparently. I like the papers I used...but I had to go over some spots with black marker, and it screwed the lins up a bit. I just wanted to be like my fellow Dilly Beaner... Jenn . I will try it again, but I'll let her tackle the more complicated stuff! :) The parts that I actually did color were done with my various brands of markers. The pattern on the paper are subtle, but you can see them nicely here. I made the card on kraft cardstock, but I sprayed the heck out of it with Glimmer Mist, so it doesn't look very "krafty" at all anymore. Which is fine with me...but I will say that it looks cooler in per...

Once again, this month has totally flown by for me. Guess that's how it will always be from now on! For my card today, I have a Stampotique image, dressed up with a Bombshell Stamps Santa hat, a Background stamp by Smeared Ink, and a sentiment from Inkadinkado. I just love his huge bow tie! I colored him with watercolor markers, and Spectrum Noir and Copic markers. I really lik coloring these creepy Stampotique images. I am so happy I finally have some in my collection. Holy cow...I am just coming in under the wire at this point. It's almost noon here! As I have mentioned, these past two weeks have been insane. And I can't seem to have a moment to get it all done! Today's project isn't at all creepy...and luckily, I had it colored who knows when! But, the image is from Kenny K ..and we Smeared & Smudgers all like Kenny K, right? I colored her with pencils and a few watercolor markers. I think she's super sassy! I literally threw this card together with scraps that were already cut. Hey, at least I'm dedicated, right? Greetings! It's time for my newest project for the Smeared and Smudged 12 Days of Creepmas! We are quickly reaching the end of this fun ride, and the time has gone SO fast! Having both of my kids Birthdays in December really makes it hard for me to keep up with everything! For this card, I used my beloved Bombshell Stamps . This card is super glittery! I used Girl's Ruin and Holiday Accessory  for this card. Don'tcha just lover her Santa hat? Seriously, where I can I get these shoes in my size? If you haven't noticed, I changed the sentiment a bit.... It now says "All I really want.....is you shoes!" I think I may add a few rhinestones or black pearls to this....I kinda ran out of time! Welcome to the 9th day of the Smeared & Smudged 12 Days of Creepmas! Today, I have a tag I've made. I used a Smeared Ink image that I recently got...I had wanted it for a while. I love bats, so I was really stoked to get this guy. Perfect image for Creepmas! I used watercolors to color the image in. Here's a closer look. I also watercolored the background of my tag. Then I took a Glimmer Screen from Tattered Angels and painted over it with white acrylic paint. I stamped my sentiment with my Just Rite alpha stamper. And I added some sparkly, chunky yarn...that kinda looks like dreadlocks. This was a fun tag. I really enjoyed making the background. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Jolly Bloggers. Hello! It's the 15th, so that means it's time for a new Desert Islands Crafters Challenge , plus it's Day 8 of the Smeared & Smudged 12 Days of Creepmas. Greetings! I have a new Dilly Beans challenge to share with you today. This week, we are challenging you to use non-traditional colors for Christmas. Think hot pink, purple, lime green, and turquoise. Heres my creation. The image is Snowmen Frame #516. Aren't they cute? I made this card for my sister for her Birthday, which was last month (yes, I gave it to her on time). She loves snowmen, so as soon as I got this image, I knew I needed to use it for her. I colored these guys with watercolors. I really enjoyed painting them. I used some fabulous Ice Stickles and a great big bow. So? Are you up for the challenge? I think you are! So get going!
