April Sparkle Blends Release Hop

Hello! Welcome back! And if you're new here, my name is Alison, and I appreciate you visiting me. Today is a big day, because Doodles Paper Playground is having their April Sparkle Blends Release Hop. This month, 6 brand new Sparkle Blends have come out to join the party, and the Doodles Paper Playground Divas are joined by several very special Guest Designers. So sit back and enjoy all of the wonderful projects we have to share with you. There are prizes to be won along the way too! My card today features the beautiful new " Diamond " Sparkle Blend which is filled with lovely clear, opalescent clear, and moonshine sequins. There are different sizes, shapes, and styles in the Blend, so even thought it is all technically "clear," it is full of interest. This mix is perfect for the style of shaker I did today, which has a colored focal image in the background. The clear sequins sparkles, but doesn't hide the background. It just adds some magic. I used...

You are Amazing

Hello crafty folks! Today I have a card featuring a very special Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground. I used the Harvest Joy Blend, which is only available through the White Rose Crafts October Subscription Kit . There are still some kits available, so if you would like to get your hands on this very special Sparkle Blend, and all of the other great items in it, grab it while you can. I don't know about you, but sometimes I like to just color whatever image I am inspired by, and they don't always make it on to a card right away. That's what happened with this sweet dragon from Mama Elephant . He's from the fabulous Me and my Dragon stamp set. I ADORE this stamp set. If ever there was a stamp set made for me, it's this one. But back to my card. I stamped this guy with VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne. Then I used watercolors from Recollections to paint him. I went back over the stamped image with a black PITT pen from Faber Castell because these watercolo...

Dragon Skeleton

Hello and welcome back! Today I have a project for the Stampendous 31 Days of Halloween. This is actually my first of 2 posts for today (crazy, right?!). If you would like to see my second post (It's got more Stampendous goodies!) lease click HERE . Ok, on to my first project...so maybe this isn't the most Halloween card I could make, but have you seen all of the dragon skeletons at Big Lots and other stores? So I thought this card would fit right in when you keep those amazing decorations in mind. I think the Dragon Skeleton stamp is totally cool, and I really want one of the 6ft skeletons to display on my roof all year long. For now, I have to settle for this stamp though. Magical Dragons Shaker Card

Greetings! Today, I am sharing a new project as a Guest Designer for Doodles Paper Playground . Doodles Paper Playground offers beautiful Sparkle Blends....amazing mixes of sequins, micro beads, teeny fimo pieces, and itty bitty jewels, and you can only get them at White Rose Crafts LLC . My card today features one of the new February blends, called Test Your Luck . I used the adorable Magical Dragons stamp set from My Favorite Things and color coordinated them with the Test Your Luck Sparkle Blends. These dragons are just the sweetest! And if you have been a follower of my blog, you know how much I love dragons and the fantasy realm. Here's a closer look at what's inside of the Test Your Luck Sparkle Blends. See the fimo flowers? And there's a smiley face peeking through! I adhered the dragons to make it appear as though they were actually looking into the shaker window. As though they were captivated by what was inside, moving around. My background was created...

July Freebies from Rick st. Dennis

Hello Bloggy friends! I am excited to share two new projects with you featuring Rick St. Dennis images. The best part? YOU can get these images for free when you visit the Sparkle and Glitter Blog and the Airless Chambers Blog. This is the Summer Faerie, and I love her. she is just so cute!!! I love fairies in general, but this one is fantastic! I loved coloring her, and as soon as I saw her, I knew how I wanted her to look. I was so anal about how I wanted her colored, I had to call my mom who works at one of the craft store chains to pick up the Yellows" set from Spectrum Noir, as I HAD to have them to finish her off! She is colored completely with my Spectrum Noirs. And yeah, even though there is not a lot of yellow on her, It was just what I needed to be happy with the finished image. Now on to my card for Airless Chambers. It features another one of my favorite things....a dragon! This is the Grumpy Dragon. Again, I used my Spectrum Noirs to color him in. I...

Twilight Blog Hop! Plus a New DICC!

Greetings fellow Twi-hards! Greetings! I have TWO projects today! First, I have a new Twilight project to share, and then a new Desert Islands Crafters Challenge card. Tonight is the night! It is the release for Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2! I cannot believe that the last movie is finally being released. Will you be at a premiere? I am going to a marathon, though unfortunately  I won't be able to see all of the movies. I'll only be watching the last 3. But it will be loads of fun, none the less. I decided that since this was the last movie, I needed to do one last Twilight hop. One more hurrah before it was all over. So, I asked which of my fellow Twi-friends wanted to hop along with me. Happily, there were 6 gals that wanted to join me. So there are 7 awesome stops in this Blog Hop. And we all made some fabulous, Twilight inspired projects! I am the first stop on the hop, so if you are just starting to hop, you are in the right place! Here's what I came up with. ...

Out-Rhage-ous!

It’s Fandom Friday over at Twilight Tuesday , and this week I am super excited about that! Why? Because not only are we once again focusing on my favorite Vampire book series (I wish I could see your look of shock!) the Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward . Have no fear… The Twilight Saga is a close second! But what makes this BDB challenge even better is that we are focusing on my favorite Brother…Rhage! He’s amazing. Totally. But, before I go on and on, let me have Beth tell you about this challenge: I know I really shouldn't keep repeating myself, but it bears repeating... Thank Goodness It's FRIDAY! That means we are in for another edition of FANDOM Friday! This week is the second Black Dagger Brotherhood challenge, and we are focusing on the second book, Lover Eternal. If the first BDB Challenge didn't get you to read the books - this one might do the trick! One thing you will learn from the devoted fans of the brotherhood, is that these books ROCK! Back to the challen...
