You Give my Heart Wings

Happy Sunday! I wanted to share a card with you today that I made for my husband for Christmas. It features the All My Heart set from Bombshell Stamps.

So yeah, it's not Christmas-y at all. But it was about what was inside.... I told him I wanted to make his heart soar. Literally.

I bought him a flying lesson. He has always wanted to fly planes, and has a lot of knowledge on the subject already. What's the best part? It is all getting video taped! We are both really excited. I was thrilled to buy it for him, and he was stoked to receive it. I can't wait for him to go!

I colored the image entirely with Distress Inks. I also used Distress Stickles. He was really surprised about the card and the gift. It was a really special moment. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

February Smeared & Smudged Sketch Challenge

The new Smeared & Smudged challenges are up and ready for you to participate in! I got instantly inspired by Kelli’s card sketch for the month, as I have been working with different ideas for my next “Tarot Card.” Haha! That’s actually pretty funny! If you’ve been checking in over the past couple of weeks, you may have seen my Misty Benson Tarot Set 1 ( Smeared Ink ) cards. I’ve used The World and The Fool so far. Today, I bring you Death. Don’t worry…it’s actually a joyful image…one that I intend to use a lot! First, here’s the sketch. I flipped it and changed the ribbon and embellishment a bit. Can I just start off by saying that it is quite nerve wracking to slice your image??? I have done it a few times in the past, but I always get butterflies when I attempt it again. I colored the image and the card itself using nothing but Distress Inks and my Cut-n-Dry Nibs. My skull button at the top has been colored with Alcohol Inks. The colors look a little off ...

"Dream-Pendous" Collaboration!
