DICC in Wonderland

Hello! It's the 15th of the month, so it's time for a new Desert Islands Crafters Challenge. For the full scoop on how our little challenge works, please head on over to the Blog. Our itinerary for the next 2 weeks is as follows:
1. Wonderland
2. Flowers
3. Chess/Checkers
4. Playing Cards
5. Tea Party
6. Clocks
7. Kings & Queens
8. Furry Friends
9. Seeing Double
10. Black and Red

We are sponsored by Faery Ink. I used #'s 1, 4, 6, , 8, and 10 for my 6x6" Mini Page.

I used Ophelia in Wonderland White Rabbit. She's been colored with my Zig Clean Color Markers. Have I mentioned how much I L-O-V-E those markers?!

I also used a fab Tim Holtz clock die with black cardstock, and inked it with Imagine's Golden Glitz Delicata ink. For my background, I used Stampendous' Dreamweaver Pinwheel Checkerboard stencil with Onyx Black VersaFine ink (also from Imagine).

I also used Imagine's irRESISTables spray in Wedding White. You have got to get some of this stuff. It adds great texture and shine, and looks super cool. I added a couple of playing cards too.

I hope you'll join us for our latest challenge! Don't forget to visit the Desert Islands Crafters Challenge Blog to get all of the deets, and to see the rest of the team's projects.

February Smeared & Smudged Sketch Challenge

The new Smeared & Smudged challenges are up and ready for you to participate in! I got instantly inspired by Kelli’s card sketch for the month, as I have been working with different ideas for my next “Tarot Card.” Haha! That’s actually pretty funny! If you’ve been checking in over the past couple of weeks, you may have seen my Misty Benson Tarot Set 1 ( Smeared Ink ) cards. I’ve used The World and The Fool so far. Today, I bring you Death. Don’t worry…it’s actually a joyful image…one that I intend to use a lot! First, here’s the sketch. I flipped it and changed the ribbon and embellishment a bit. Can I just start off by saying that it is quite nerve wracking to slice your image??? I have done it a few times in the past, but I always get butterflies when I attempt it again. I colored the image and the card itself using nothing but Distress Inks and my Cut-n-Dry Nibs. My skull button at the top has been colored with Alcohol Inks.   The colors look a little off ...

"Dream-Pendous" Collaboration!

Greetings! This is going to be such an exciting week for Dreamweaver Stencil s fans and Stampendous Stamps fans alike. It's going to be a "Dream-Pendous" week of inspiration! The Dreamweaver and Stampendous teams are collaborating once again with all the fun toys in each team's arsenals. Of course, as usual, there will be prizes given out for those who comment throughout the week. In fact, there will be 3 prize packs available! Each will have a great selection of Dreamweaver Stencils and Stampedous dies and images. One being the new "Blossom Beauty" face image as shown in the badge in my sidebar. I am beyond excited to share my project with you. I made an art journal page, with a....rather altered...version of the fantastic Blossom Beauty image. Can you tel that I had soooooo much fun with her?!? It was a blast to rework her beautiful face and turn half of her into a sugar skull. The flowers are really what inspired me to do it. They are so big and be...
