And that’s our theme!! Making Texture. We hope you’ll enjoy the wonderful inspiration that three talented teams will bring you this week! Be sure to visit all the blog links listed and leave your comments! Each comment will count as an entry towards one of the terrific prize packages. Here's my project for today.
I started off with the beautiful Feather stencil, and I used white embossing paste to get the image on to my cardstock. But instead of smoothing it out like you normally would, I used my palette knife to tap at the paste, to give it lots of yummy texture. Then I let it dry.
Then I used clear adhesive to apply some fun holographic glitter. After that dried, I inked (with my finger) some teal stamping ink, and I sprayed pink irRESISTables as well. More texture! See the watery look to the cardstock? That's the irRESISTables. It's also the pink that's on the feather. I added some watercolors to the feather too, to dull down the white.
I took some core'dnations cardstock and sanded it to show off the texture. Next, I embossed the Thinking of You sentiment with my silver embossing paste. I tore one edge and glued it, plus I added a corner to the top. I also drew in some faux stitching with a white gel pen.
I just love working with this feather. I have about 3 projects that I am working on with it right now. If you haven't added it to your collection yet, you should! Now, here is the full hop list for today:
