Hello! Today I am sharing a 6x6 mini page with you, and i am really excited about it. Aurora Wings issued a Christmas in July challenge, and I really wanted to play. But I didn't want to use a traditional Christmas image (if you follow my blog, you probably know that that isn't really my style). So I went with Masquerade Owl Mask. This image is so beautiful.
Stunning, isn't she? Mitzi draws such incredible images. I colored her with a combination of watercolor markers and alcohol markers.
You can click on any of my photos to see them bigger. I also added some Liquid Pearls and Tiara Stickles for some dimension and sparkle. I went heavy with the shadows to give the image some more drama.
I hope you can see the bit of sparkle here. It's so hard to capture glitter in pictures!
For my background, I went with the beautiful Damask Stencil from Dreamweaver Stencils and I embossed with with their Pearlescent Embossing Paste. It worked so well with the Liquid Pearls.
Isn't that a pretty stencil? I use it all the time. I'd like to give a little shout to my daughter for helping. She gave me some great ideas...especially when it came down to paper choices. She loves to help, and I am happy that she loves to be creative like me. :) I hope you liked my project! Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
I would like to enter this in the following challenges:
Aurora Wings: Christmas in July
Crafting From the Heart: #28 Anything Goes
Bloggers Challenge: Christmas in July
Christmas Stampin': Anything Goes (as long as it's Christmas)
