Greetings! Today I am sharing the latest Bombshell Stamps Pin-Up Challenge with you. This month, our Pin-Up is Kim. She has challenged us to "Raise Yer Flag!" Some examples Kim had suggested was to use an actual flag, a pirate's flag, the colors of a country's flag, etc. Here's what I came up with.
I chose to work with my Retro Cowgirls and Harley Bikes sets for this card. You may recognize this paper from the card I posted on Monday. I had made this one first, but I had left the scraps out and was inspired to use them for Gene's Father's Day card as well.
I used watercolor markers and Copics to color in my cowgirl, then I went over her with Antique Linen Distress Ink to tone her down a bit. I also colored the Outlaw (which I cut into a banner) with Copics. I remembered that I had some rad star shaped rhinestones that fit oh-so-perfectly over a star punch that I had recently gotten.
I inked my card with that Antique Linen Distress Ink as well. I can't get enough of that color! It always ages things perfectly. The color in this photo is the best representation to what it is in real life. Not sure why the other two are a little off. Be sure to visit the Bombshell Blog to see what the rest of the gals have come up with. This was a fun challenge! Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
