August Bombshell Pin-Up Theme!

Hello Bloggy Friends! Today I have a new card for Bombshell Stamps to share with you. Today we are debuting Ms. August's (Paivis Jankala) challenge. The challenge is to do something for a man. And with our fantastic Bombshell stamps, that is a pretty simple challenge! Here's what I made. I used Harley Bikes and Bombshell Patterns for my card. I stamped the bike in whit and then embossed it. I had some fun screw paper (that I LOVE), and added it, along with the zebra print stamp from the Pattern set and a senti from the Bikes set. I sprayed my gray paper with Diet Cola Memory Mist . I think it's a great card for a dude. I know my husband would like it....and then he'd wanna take me up on my offer to go for a spin. Gosh, it has been SO long since we've gone for a motorcycle ride! Now it's time for you to head over to the Bombshell Blog to see what Ms. August and some of the other DT members have come up with. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspirin...

DICC: Sweet Pea Stamps & Bombshell Muse Monday: Harley Bikes

Happy April 1st! I have 2 projects for you today. The first is for the new Desert Islands Crafters Challenge , which is sponsored by Sweet Pea Stamps. The second is for the new Bombshell Stamps Muse Monday. For the month of April, we will be featuring the Harley Bikes set. Here's the itinerary for DICC. 1 - Make it colourful (lots of colours) 2 - Sing - a - long (based on a song) 3 - Stickles 4 - Buttons 5 - Something home made (flower etc) 6 - Shiny 7 - 2 dies or more 8 - Birthday 9 - Candles 10 - Sentiment I used numbers 1, 3, 4, 9, and 10. Of course, my focal image is from Sweet Pea Stamps. The name of it is Exotic Halloween, and I LOVE this image. I colored it with colored pencils. My sentiment is from Inkadinkado. She's so cool. I have missed using my pencils. But she really needed to be colored with them instead of markers.  And this is what  made for Muse Monday over at Bombshell Stamps .  I decided to go for a super...

Bring the Heat: S&S Hop

Hello again! It’s time for a Smeared & Smudged Blog Hop! The theme is “Bring the Heat.” “This is totally up to interpretation....some ideas would be using heat embossing, hot glue or fire. Or even using imagery of fire, heat, or even something SEXY! Step outside your comfort zones - the HOTTER the better!!! It can be a canvas, a card, a scrapbook page, an altered item, an art journal page, etc. Use your imaginations. Also, don't forget the S&S rule that is has to be stamped somewhere (digi stamps are fine).” I teamed up with my Bombshell Stamps Babes, and used several sets for my “hot” creation. I started off using Harley Bikes , knowing that I wanted to use the flame from the Hula Girl set on the tank of the bike. I stamped the bike, then the flame- in 2 colors, and I embossed the flame so that it would really show…especially after I colored the rest of the tank in. Then I went for a stamp I hadn’t used before…the devil from the Cherry Bomb set. I stamped him ...

Bombshell June Pin-Up Challenge: Raise Yer Flag

Greetings! Today I am sharing the latest Bombshell Stamps Pin-Up Challenge with you. This month, our Pin-Up is Kim . She has challenged us to "Raise Yer Flag!" Some examples Kim had suggested was to use an actual flag, a pirate's flag, the colors of a country's flag, etc. Here's what I came up with. I chose to work with my Retro Cowgirls  and Harley Bikes sets for this card. You may recognize this paper from the card I posted on Monday. I had made this one first, but I had left the scraps out and was inspired to use them for Gene's Father's Day card as well. I used watercolor markers and Copics to color in my cowgirl, then I went over her with Antique Linen Distress Ink to tone her down a bit. I also colored the Outlaw (which I cut into a banner) with Copics. I remembered that I had some rad star shaped rhinestones that fit oh-so-perfectly over a star punch that I had recently gotten. I inked my card with that Antique Linen Distress Ink as we...

June Bombshell Stamps Sketch Challenge

Greetings! It's Monday, and I am sad that my husband is going to work today. Especially after we just had such a nice Father's Day. We went to a (small) Pirate Festival, and had a nice dinner with my Mom and sisters. We weren't in full pirate garb, but we certainly fit in. So many folks sadly didn't even make the attempt to dress up. So it would only be fitting for me to share a card using Bombshell Stamps ' Pirate's Life set, right? Well, that's not going to happen today. ;) Instead, I have a card, featuring this month's Sketch, using Cherry Bomb and Harley Bikes , and Man's Ruin . I made it for Gene, for Father's Day. This was tricky! I had been wanting to try this for a while now, but decided that it was finally time to actually give it a go. Did you notice that my Cherry Bomb Bombshell is sitting in a different position? Wanna see the original? Click the link above. She's a wee bit too big for the bike, but I still think...
