It’s April 15th, which means it’s time for a new Desert Islands Crafters Challenge. We have a specail guest that created our latest itinerary. My bestie Kelli Green!
1. Follow my sketch
2. No Flowers
3. Red and Black
4. Favorite Quote (from movie, song, book, just your favorite!)
5. Embossing (any type of embossing)
6. Distressing
7. Metal Hardware
8. Kraft
9. Gray
10. Rounded corners
Here’s the sketch she made to go with it.
Guess what? I managed to use all 10 items from the itinerary! That doesn’t happen too often!
I actually created this card in about a half hour, which is pretty impressive. I used a vampire stamp that I had yet to ink up, and I backed him with coffins from the same little set from Inkadinkado. My sentiment (which is certainly a favorite of mine, as I use it all the time) is from StampInsanity.
I only added a wee bit of whit to his eyes and teeth. I dripped some Candy Apple Red Glimmer Mist on to my kraft cardstock (yet another mist that is clogged), and I distressed the edges. My sentiment was embossed with a clear powder.
Pop dots, staples, and a few black pearls later, and I called my card done. And, I am really happy with it. I waited until the last minute with this one, and I am glad that I did. Because it all just fell into place.
Thank you so much Kelli for being our guest this time at DICC! Please be sure to visit her blog, as well as the DICC blog to see what everyone else came up with. And please join in too! Thanks for stopping by. Have a fangtastic day! ;)

ok- so, these clogged GMs. What are you doing about them? I have one I can't get unclogged. New bottle time? any suggestions?
Glimmer Mist suggestion. Stick a pony bead or two into the bottle. When you shake the bottle, the beads more the mica around more.
I've also taken the sprayer thingy and gave it a nice soak in dish soap and warm water, then spray just spray the water from the bowl through the sprayer. Then use clear water to get rid of the suds.
I did have one that I had to replace the sprayer gizmo with new ones.
Aren't you glad I just wrote "War & Peace" on your blog?
