SISC #36: Holiday Princess Release & Sketch Challenge

Greetings! Welcome to another fabulous StampInsanity Challenge! This week, both Wards have projects to share with you in honor of a brand new holiday release! Check it out!

Holiday Princess Maddie 2010

For this week’s challenge, we have a sketch to play with.

SISC36 11-18

Here’s my creation using one of the fabulous new Maddies and “Peace” sentiment.

Peace-1

Isn’t she lovely??? I had such a blast coloring her in! I love her headpiece. It reminded me of the American Girl book from the 80’s…is it Kirstin??? But I digress…

Peace-2

I colored her with my colored pencils, and added some Stickles to her headpiece. I LOVE the paper I used with her…it matched her dress perfectly! And the red on the paper is actually foil, so in real life it has a fabulous shine.

Peace-3

I used some Glimmer Mist on the Peace for a bit more sparkle too. Plus some inking around the edges of course!

So hurry and grab this beautiful set! Your Holiday cards will be stunning!!! And, just in case you need some incentive... from November 26-29th, the StampInsanity store will be having a sale!!! You can get 30% off all stamps! That's awesome! Just use coupon code CyberBlack2010. Stock up on all of the fabulous StampInsanity images you've been pining over. And please be sure to visit the entire team of Groovy Gurlz. Have an inspiring day!!!

Christmas in July with Imagine Crafts & Stencil Girl!

Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! The teams are hopping for 3 consecutive Saturdays, and this is week 2. I have the entire list of hop links at the bottom of the post. Be sure you don't miss anyone! I decided to to create an extra large gift tag with my new stencils. Using red cardstock, I taped down the Journal Texture #8 Stencil  and inked it up with Golden Glitz Delicata ink . I promise you, this is the BEST gold ink you will ever use! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it's a 4x4" stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again. Next I wanted to do something textural with the Urban Insiders Star . So I took some evergreen cardstock, taped down the star, and slathered on some yummy Iridescent Green Creative Medium . After the medium dried, I ga

Deco Art and Andy Skinner Hop

This is a very exciting week for the Stampendous team! We are hanging out with the ultra cool Deco Art Mixed Media team, each using each other's products to share some incredible creations with you. These companies go hand in hand, so using each other's products is easy. And the results are amazing. We are of course featuring Andy Skinner's stamps, who is the DecoArt International Education Coordinator.  And yup, there are prizes! But I want you to go to the Stampendous Blog for all of that info. The link is at the bottom of the post. Now, on to my project. I made a cool wall hanging today. I started off with a piece of MDF and I drilled 2 holes, and covered it with DecoArt's white Gesso. After it dried, I used Andy's Alcohol and Media fluid Acrylics Layering Technique. You can check out his how-to video HERE . Needless to say, it's a great technique, and I loved doing it. Once I finished with the aforementioned technique, I sealed the piece w

Our Favorites: ADfD Blog Hop

***Sorry for the late posting....Blogger doesn't always play nice! Today is the first day of our  ADFD Blog Hop  - a celebration of all of the beautiful images Tammy has created over the years. As a special surprise for Tammy, we have a combination of current and former DT members participating in the hop. Her inspiring art and generous heart have touched us all. We want to take a moment to show our gratitude and thank Tammy for the blessings and joys we have received as members of the ADFD DT. Our theme is “A Collection of ADFD Favorites” - so each DT member’s blog you visit will share something she has created with one of her favorite ADFD images.  The hop has   hidden prizes  - a commenter from each hidden prize stop will win a choice of one image from the ADFD Shop ! You won’t know where the prizes are hidden, so be sure to leave a comment at each stop of the Hop!  Our Blog Hop will run from 7:00 a.m. eastern standard time on Saturday, February 25, 2017 until 9:00 p.m. eas
