Kenny K Smeared & Smudged Blog Hop!

Welcome to a super exciting Smeared & Smudged Design Team Blog Hop featuring some ultra cool digis from Kenny K. As I have mentioned in previous posts, they are one of our fabulous sponsors this month…and you still have time to play along! I love so many of their images! They’re cheeky, rockin’ and so cool. You’ve gotta pick up some of their hawt images for yourself if you haven’t already!

The Design Team was fortunate enough to get digis from Kenny K, and we are so excited to brig our creations to you today! I made a layout using Mrs. Claus.

These photos are from Christmas Eve, 2005. Every year, my sisters, Mom, Gene and I chose a theme for us to wear. We’ve done Gothic Christmas (I know…not a stretch for us!), Ice Princesses, Victorian…just to name a few. Well, in 2005, we decided to be different styles of Santa Claus. I LOVED getting dressed this year! Check out my outfit…I bought an actual tree skirt, and turned it into a skirt I could wear! I thought it came out fabulous!

But onto Kenny K…do you see my digi??? She blends in pretty well, doesn’t she?

Isn’t she super sassy? I think she’s awesome! She is done up with my colored pencils, and I think she fits right in with the rest of us!

You can click on any of the pictures to see them bigger. I am proud to say that Phoenix helped me quite a bit in putting this page together. He painted the background with me, helped me glue the paper…we had a great time doing it! I love crafting with him.

So I am really happy with my jolly layout. I think it really captured the mood of the day. And my Kenny K Mrs. Claus is the perfect embellishment! A HUGE thank you to Kenny and Elena for your fantastic sponsorship this month!!! We love you!!! Make sure you visit not only their store…but their awesome Challenge Blog too!

Please be sure to visit the rest of the bad-ass Smeared & Smudged Design Team. I am quite certain they will wow you with their creations!

Mediterranean Dreams Shaker

Hello! Today I have a card that features the Mediterranean Dreams Subscription Kit from White Rose Crafts.  This fabulous Subscription Kit brings together sparkling, azure Mediterranean seas, sun-bleached shores and the rich colors of vibrant Mediterranean cultures in a carefully curated kit. I knew I just had to try the Jillibean Soup shaker card and I chose to use one of the stamps (from Kaisercraft) to make my background. I stamped the seashell with Tea Dye Distress Oxide all over the background of the card. Then I applied some Walnut Stain Distress Oxide to my craft mat, spritzed it with some water, and splattered it on to my card base. Last, I inked the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide with a Mini Blending Brush. For my sentiment, I die cut a stitched rectangle from my stash, out of the pearly yellow cardstock that came in the kit and stamped it with "Wish You Were Here" stamp from the same "Summer Splash" stamp set, with StazOn Pigment ink. Echo Park Blog Hop with Imagine

Greetings! This is my second post for the day. This one is not part of the 31 Days of Halloween, but rather a super-duper blog hop that the Artists in Residence for Imagine are doing with Echo Park . So if you're here for my Day 7 project, please check out the post HERE . But before you do that, scroll on to check out this one. There are prizes up for grabs, so be sure to check out the Imagine Blog as well as the Echo Park Blogs for details. I created my background by applying Dandelion and Tangelo Memento Ink to my brayer. Then I sprayed it with Ink Potion No. 9 to help the colors blend and to act as an extender to keep the inks wet longer. After I rolled the colors out on to watercolor paper and let it dry, I stamped the lovely doily-like image from Echo Park's Simply Sweet Stamp Set with Grape Jelly Memento. I also received the super pretty Heart Doily Designer Die  which I used with a true purple cardstock. But it needed something....and in rolls the super fabul...
