Simply Betty Sketch

Did you know that Simply Betty Stamps has a sketch challenge going on right now? And that the prize is to be the August Guest Designer??? Now that is a prize I really want to win! Here’s the sketch:

And here’s my card:

Rio-Sketch-1

I’m in the mood for green, I guess! I started off with my fabulous Rio stamp, and inked her up in Ice Jade from Color Box (one of my fave inky colors eva!). Then, using my colored pencils, I used various shades of green to complete her. Here’s a close up.

Rio-Sketch-2

I like her as a pretty zombie…don’t you? I’m actually kind of inspired to do more monochromatic Rios. I already stamped her out in some other colors. Hmmm…I can even use one for the Burtonesque Dolls Challenge this week! Let’s just see if I have time… But back to this card!

Rio-Sketch-3

In keeping with the green thing I had goin’ on with Rio, I chose various scraps I had to finish the card up using funky cardstock in all assorted greens. And a single rhinestone to top it all off!

I really like this sketch. I am going to try and use it again. Maybe with another of my funky colored Rios or perhaps Christian! We’ll see… have an inspiring day!!!
