TTSC #18

Hello Everyone! It’s Monday again, so it’s time for a sketch challenge from Dani! I really love this one, I hope you get inspired to make something with it too! Isn’t it really cool??? I decided to turn the sketch and make it into a layout. I have been working really hard on a custom album (you may have seen one of the layouts I made for it last week), and I thought that this sketch would be perfect for one of the pages I needed to make! I even made it in Twi-colors!!! So, let me apologize for the crummy pictures. My Cannon’s battery died and until the new one comes, I am stuck using an Olympus, which I’m not very good with! But, you can still click on a photo to see it bigger! Here’s a detail shot of the focal point. I cut the photo with my Coluzzle. But, it was too small for the photo! So thankfully, Dani’s sketch had those wonderful little circles in just the right palces… I only had to add one extra! And, I think it turned out great! I was really stumped with what to do with thi...

Sketch Challenge in Review Part 2

Good Monday morning! I have been sick with a gross cold since Friday, so this is going to be a short post, as my head is still in a fog due to lack of medicine (ah, the things we do to nurse our children!). I chose to make a layout using Dani’s Twilight Tuesday Sketch Challenge #2. It worked out perfectly for what I wanted to do… I really love this page. I love how clean the original sketch was, so I didn’t want to disrupt it with a lot of embellishments. Plus, these are some of my absolute fave pictures of Rhiannon, (I must have taken about 25 in this one sitting!) so I really wanted to just focus on them. And her shirt is just so rockin’! Remember to click n the photos to see them bigger! Cardstock is from Prism and American Crafts. “Cherish” stamp is from Heidi Swapp, and it’s embossed in silver. Marker is from EK Success. Some of the other TTIC girls made projects for today too! Donna Rebecca Beth Dani Margie Julie Tonya (check her blog out this afternoon for her proje...

Twilight Tuesday Sketch Challenges in Review

I enjoy working on sketch challenges from time to time. Especially when I can’t figure out what to do for a certain project… They can really come in handy! TTIC is doing a review of all of Dani’s wonderful sketches this week (regular TTIC is taking a break for Thanksgiving), so I wanted to share one with you today. I decided to use Sketch Challenge #14. But, I didn’t want to make a card. I have sooooo many layouts that I need to make, so I decided to turn this sketch sideways and make a scrapbook page out of it! Please click on the photo to see it bigger! This photo was taken in October. My family of four decided to visit a couple of local nurseries by us for their Fall Festivals. This is one of my favorite things to do in the Fall! So, here we are, Me and My Pumpkins, enjoying the day. The only thing I don’t like about this photo, is that Gene isn’t in it. Otherwise, I think it’s a really cute page! I liked Dani’s original sketch, but like I said, I have a ton of layouts to make...

TTSC #12

Happy Monday! I finally got to do the Twilight Tuesday Sketch Challenge #12! I am participating in a Breaking Dawn swap hosted by my awesome friend Tia. These cards are for the swap. But first, here’s the sketch: And here is my card: I liked using something other than the traditional Twi-colors of red, black and white. I wanted it to be fresh. Bella is transformed in Breaking Dawn, and I wanted to reflect that here. I used bright, cheery colors and I highlighted the chess piece almost as if it were an icon. Please click on any of the images to get a bigger photo. I used 2 stamps from Artful INKables, cardstock from DCWV and Prism and markers from EK Success. Dani just posted a new Sketch Challenge, so make sure you go over to Twilight Tuesday to see it. And be SURE to check in with me and TTIC because it’s our 1 year Anniversary Blog Hop!

TTIC & Artful INKables Sketch Challenge

It’s Monday, and this is the last day of Twilight Tuesday’s collaboration with Artful INKables … although, I can assure you, I will certainly be using the stamps they graciously donated to us quite often! For this challenge, we were to use the June Sketch. Visit the Twilight Tuesday web site for all of the details, plus check out some of the other designer’s projects too! I once again used many of the same supplies for this card as I did for the other cards I’ve done this past week. EK Success Watercolor Markers, Distress Inks by Ranger, a touch of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (on the apple… I used Candy Apple Red which has a fab gold glimmer to it!), and a touch of cardstock from Provo Craft and Murdock Country Creations… but I don’t believe Murdock is in business anymore. I also pop dotted the apple. Be sure to click on the photos for a bigger view! I created a card using this sketch a few posts ago, for my Mom’s 60th Birthday. Take a peek if you haven’t seen it yet. Tomorrow wi...

Twilight Tuesday Sketch #5

Every month, Twilight Tuesday releases a sketch challenge. Dani comes up with some wonderful sketches and I am happy to show you my version of June’s sketch. My Mom just turned 60 on Tuesday (go Mom!) and this is the and I made her. I was running pretty late that day (big surprise) so i didn’t get to embellish it quite as much as I would’ve liked, but I think it’s quite happy! I just love the colors, and so did she! In the bottom photo, you’ll see her sitting in the background with Baby Rhi-Rhi. There are a whole lotta Birthdays in the month of June, so I better start gettin’ to the rest of the cards that I’ve got to make! Hey! Have you seen the other submissions to the June Twilight Tuesday Sketch Challenge? Make sure you go to www.twilighttuesday.com to see all of the fantastic entries!
