TTSC #18

Hello Everyone! It’s Monday again, so it’s time for a sketch challenge from Dani! I really love this one, I hope you get inspired to make something with it too! Isn’t it really cool??? I decided to turn the sketch and make it into a layout. I have been working really hard on a custom album (you may have seen one of the layouts I made for it last week), and I thought that this sketch would be perfect for one of the pages I needed to make! I even made it in Twi-colors!!! So, let me apologize for the crummy pictures. My Cannon’s battery died and until the new one comes, I am stuck using an Olympus, which I’m not very good with! But, you can still click on a photo to see it bigger! Here’s a detail shot of the focal point. I cut the photo with my Coluzzle. But, it was too small for the photo! So thankfully, Dani’s sketch had those wonderful little circles in just the right palces… I only had to add one extra! And, I think it turned out great! I was really stumped with what to do with thi...

Twilight Tuesday Sketch Challenges in Review

I enjoy working on sketch challenges from time to time. Especially when I can’t figure out what to do for a certain project… They can really come in handy! TTIC is doing a review of all of Dani’s wonderful sketches this week (regular TTIC is taking a break for Thanksgiving), so I wanted to share one with you today. I decided to use Sketch Challenge #14. But, I didn’t want to make a card. I have sooooo many layouts that I need to make, so I decided to turn this sketch sideways and make a scrapbook page out of it! Please click on the photo to see it bigger! This photo was taken in October. My family of four decided to visit a couple of local nurseries by us for their Fall Festivals. This is one of my favorite things to do in the Fall! So, here we are, Me and My Pumpkins, enjoying the day. The only thing I don’t like about this photo, is that Gene isn’t in it. Otherwise, I think it’s a really cute page! I liked Dani’s original sketch, but like I said, I have a ton of layouts to make...

TTSC #12

Happy Monday! I finally got to do the Twilight Tuesday Sketch Challenge #12! I am participating in a Breaking Dawn swap hosted by my awesome friend Tia. These cards are for the swap. But first, here’s the sketch: And here is my card: I liked using something other than the traditional Twi-colors of red, black and white. I wanted it to be fresh. Bella is transformed in Breaking Dawn, and I wanted to reflect that here. I used bright, cheery colors and I highlighted the chess piece almost as if it were an icon. Please click on any of the images to get a bigger photo. I used 2 stamps from Artful INKables, cardstock from DCWV and Prism and markers from EK Success. Dani just posted a new Sketch Challenge, so make sure you go over to Twilight Tuesday to see it. And be SURE to check in with me and TTIC because it’s our 1 year Anniversary Blog Hop!

TTIC #51 Edward Cullen

Happy Tuesday! There’s another great Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge for you to participate in! This week we are focusing on none other than Edward himself! The super talented Jen came up with this one, and here it is! It's time to focus on Edward. Even though the stories are told from Bella's point of view all of the books with the exception of Breaking Dawn focus almost entirely on Edward, through Bella's mind. Even in New Moon when Edward is gone her every action is focused on not losing her connection with him. So for this challenge I want you to focus on your connection to Edward. What does his character mean to you? For the creative challenge: Create a project that focuses on Edward. For the comment portion: How do you feel about Edward's character? Is it like, love or disdain? Have you read the partial draft of Midnight Sun? What did you think about reading the story from his point of view? This week, I decided to combine the Edward challenge with the Twi...

Twilight Tuesday's Day Off

Hello all!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I just wanted to remind you that Twilight Tuesday is taking a week off from challenges, but we will be back next week with a new one for you! Meanwhile, I will try and get a post up of a TTIC sketch challenge later today. But in the meantime, please visit www.twilighttuesday.com to catch up on any challenges you may not have seen!

TTSC #9

So, After making Tuesday’s Card with TTIC #10, I felt inspired to do #9. Dani is always coming up with wonderful sketches for us to play with, and there are several that I have not yet tackled. So, I am trying to get to a few of them this week. Here’s the sketch for TTSC #9: And here is my version: I made my dimensions a little different because I wanted to base the sizes around the stamp I used. All of my paper is from Prima (so in love with these papers!), except for the turquoise, which is from Prism. The ink is from Color Box, rhinestones from Westrim and I cannot forget to mention that I used Amazing Glaze from Judikins. That’s one of my all-time favorite stamp/scrap items. Can’t live without it! Here’s a close up so that you can see why I love it… See how thick it is? After just one application! It’s so glassy… absolutely my favorite embossing powder ever! But back to the sketch… I think it was a great one and I look forward to completing them all! Wanna play along??? Twilight...
