You Can Do It!

Hey Everybody! I cannot believe how quickly the summer has flown by. My poor blog has not seen much activity from me, as I have been trying to hang with my kidlings as much as possible. But, I do have a new card to share with you today. Since my children are young, one of the newest Simply B Stamps collections really appealed to me. It's called 1st Steps . And I really saw my kids in all of these images. Today's card features "Think, Think Jude." I colored Jude with my Phoenix in mind...right down to the mismatched socks. Let's just say that some things are pretty tough for my little man to deal with when it comes to the toilet. So, this card was to give him some encouragement. I also printed the image out super huge so that he can color it and make it into a chart to record when some of the things he needs to "do" gets done. I will spare you the dirty details. :) I colored Jude and his toilet with my watercolor markers and Copics. The sentiment...

Help for Betty via The Pampered Chef

Hiya everyone! Today I am not sharing a project with you, rather asking for help. We crafty folk tend to run in the same circles, so I am sure that everyone that visits me is very familiar with Betty of Simply B Stamps. You may also know that Betty’s son Christian has cancer. Needless to say, Betty’s bills are piling up not only from the cancer treatments, but the gas to get to the hospital (which I believe is over an hour away), hotel stays (when Christian needs to stay at the hospital), food, etc. It is all taking it’s toll not only on Betty mentally, but on her pockets as well. Tori , from Smeared and Smudged, came up with a great idea to have a fundraiser for her. Tori sells Scentsy products, and thought that it would be a wonderful way to raise money for Betty and Christian. I recently became a Pampered Chef consultant, and decided to follow Tori’s lead. So, I am hosting a fundraiser in Betty’s name to try to get some money raised to cover some of their ever-growing expenses. P...

Macabre Monday 138: Eerie Elegance

It has been what feels like forever since I have had a chance to play with Haunted Design House . This week, the Macabre Monday challenge is Eerie Elegance . And I just knew I needed to use a Simply B Stamps image for it. But there are so many to choose from!!! I eventually decided to go with The Alchemist's Wife Nightmares . Seriously, how fabulous is this image? I used the Spotlight Technique to color my image, but with a bit of a twist. I printed the image twice, and cut out my spotlight from the colored version so that I could pop-dot it to the second. I used colored pencils, watercolor markers and Copics to color this in. I aged the background image with Antique Linen Distress Inks. I also used a cream colored card, instead of white, and I sprayed it with a coffee colored spray from Tsukineko. I recently became a Pampered Chef consultant (links on the side of my blog!). And I did pretty well my first month out, so I decided to give myself a little congratulatory gift...

Zombabes Release Day

Hello, my bloggy friends! Today I am, along with the rest of the Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls , sharing the last 3 images from the new Simply B Stamps Zombabes collection. Also, this will be the last post for the Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls. I am sad to see that it is coming to a close, but I look to the future for some exciting new adventures. I have really enjoyed my time as a Doll. Here is the first card I made for today. This is Vacationing Veronica. I think she's awesome. She looks so chill, and I really like how she was drawn. I colored her with ONLY Copics! I hardly ever do that! Here's a close up. I added some Antique Linen Distress Ink on top of the whole image, to age it a bit. The skull and crossbones that you see in the background are from Bombshell Stamps' Speed Shop set. The sentiment, also from Bombshell is from the Mermaid Treasure set. My next card features two of the Zombabes. one is Haute Hazel, and the other is Beach Blast Alison. Named f...

Zombabes Preview Day 1

Hello out there! The Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls and I have a new release from Simply B Stamps to share with you today. If you are here for the fabulous Bombshell Hump Day Hop, please click HERE . Today, we are previewing the brand new Zombabe collection. Zombie hotties in bikinis! I have a card that I made with Snappy Ginger to share with you. How sassy is she? She's even sporting Ga-Ga like shades! Zombabe, for sure! I colored her with primarily Copics, though I used a couple of my watercolor markers on her hair. I like making my zombies this bright green, as you'll see with my projects for tomorrow. These summery gals need to be bright. I'll save the muted greens for the "not so cute" zombies. Hahaha! Tomorrow, the Dolls and I will be sharing 3 more images from this collection of 6 Zombabes. You can check out the rest from today's preview over at the Dolls' Blog. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creep-tatsic day!

Squeakin'!

Greetings! I took a bit of a much needed bloggy-break, but now I am back, and I have a few new Simply B Stamps images to share with you! This collection is called Squeakin'! Have you seen The Emperor's New Groove? Gosh, I LOVE that movie! It's hilarious! Anyway, ya know when Cronk is translating for the squirrel? "Squeak sqeakin's squeakity-squeak!" That's what this new Jude and the Rockers collection is named for! This release is not being done through the regular SBS DT, rather the new Challenge DT ! I just got lucky enough to be able to play along. Here's 3 of the new images. This is Which Way Brittany. How cute is that little deer? And how sweet of Brittany to show her which way she needs to go! I colored these cuties with my watercolor markers and my Copics. Phoenix chose her shirt color. :) This is Snap Shot Ariel. And check out her tiny bear friend! Another sweet image, right? Again, with this card, I kept my colors pretty neutr...

The Evermore Collection

Greetings and salutations! Today I have a couple of projects featuring the Simply B Stamps' Evermore Collection, which just became available in rubber, as well as in digi form.  These images are from the same artist that created the  Original Steampunks ,  Classic Collection Steampunks ,   Steampunk Halloween , and the  Steampunk Romance Collection . All of these images are so detailed and beautiful, anything that you make with them will look amazing! Speaking of detail....some folks out there may be a bit overwhelmed by how much detail is in these images. Or, perhaps you are short on time, but you need to make something fabulous. Allow me to give you a way to ease your coloring anxiety and/or speed up the process a bit. I give you...The Halloween Queen..... As you can see, this image has a whole lot going on. But I chose to focus on just a small area. I simply took a cup and, in pencil, drew a circle where I wanted to color. Then I went to ...

2 More Rios!!!

I have 2 more Rios to share with you today. This is from the newest Simply B Stamps collection, The Rios. I am going to share the more Summery images today. First up is Summer Rio. She's such a cutie! Lover her skully umbrella! I colored this (and my next Rio) with watercolor markers and Copics. You can click on any of my pictures for a bigger view. This is Victorian Swimsuit Rio. I love her swimsuit and parasol! Phoenix chose the colors for her, and he did a great job! He chose my personal favorites! My "Retro" is from Bombshell Stamps. I thought that it was perfect for this image of Rio. So what do you think of this release? Make sure you hurry on over to the SBS Shop to snag them while you can. Also, all of the Limited Edition Digis are available for only $3.50! While Betty's away, the DT will play! But I don't know how long that price will last! Betty may be back any day, so hurry! Before that price is gone, and so are the Ltd. Ed. digis! Tha...

The Rio's Have Been Released!

This week, the SImply B Stamps team was to release the newest collection, The Rio's. But, as you may have heard, Betty has been hospitalized, so Miss Rio herself and Suzi have decided to release them early! What's that mean? Not only can you see ALL of the Rios today, but you can also buy them right now! No waiting! I've got a couple of projects to show you with them today, and I'll have some more goodies tomorrow. This is Christmas Princess Rio. Isn't she pretty? O love her Victorian attire. And I kept the colors in line with the style of clothing. The yellow cardstock looks a bit harsh in the photo, but in real life, in matches much better. I love her wrapping paper! It has little bats on it!And her hat with it's skull! This is Ice Skating Rio. Again, I love her outfit. What's with me and the super soft colors??? Good thing my next Rio has bolder tones...but you'll have to visit her on the SBS Blog or wait until my next post. ;) I ...
