May Muse Monday: Girl's Ruin

Hello out there! It's the first Monday of the month, so that means I get to share with you the first installment of this month's Bombshell Stamps Muse Monday. I decided to go with Girl's Ruin this time. This is a fun and flirty set, and is perfect for any gal that loves shoes! I love coloring that shoe in many different ways. Here's what I came up with this time. I went for my 2 favorite colors...teal and purple. I often glitter up the shoe, at least a little...so it was tough for me to do something different. Isn't it just screaming for glitter??? I may have to play along with Muse Monday again this month just to use some glitter! I'd like to point out that I colored her legs with the same skin tones I used on the rest of her rockin' bod. Then I colored her stockings. I wanted it to look like they were semi-sheer, and that's the best way to do it in my opinion. The image was colored with Spectrum Noirs. Please go and check out some oth...

Taurus with Wicked Wednesday and Flowerful with Bombshell

Greetings! Today I have a new Wicked Wednesday ATC and a new card with Bombshell Stamps . This week at WW, we are sponsored by Delicious Doodles, and the theme is Taurus. Here's what I made. Have you seen the 80's movie Legend? It's one of my top 3 favorite movies of all time. I immediately thought of Tim Curry's character, the Lord of Darkness, hence the red skin and black horns. The glare is terrible on this photo. Sorry about that. She is colored with Spectrum Noir and Copic markers.  Now, on to Bombshell. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough people sign up for today's scheduled Hump Day Hop. But, I (and some of the other girls) wanted to share our projects anyway. The theme was supposed to be Flowerful. Here's what I made. I used Rose's Portrait and Girl's Ruin (for the banner) for my card. Again, these images are colored with Spectrum Noir and Copic markers. I hope that we run the Hump Day Hop next month. Please sign up if yo...

February Bombshell Hump Day Hop and Wicked Wednesday

Hi! I have 2 projects to share with you. It's Wednesday, so not only do I have a new Wicked Wednesday ATC for you, but it's the last Wednesday of the month so it's time for the Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop. This week's WW challenge, is Kids at Play, and we are sponsored by Digi Darla. What kid doesn't love pinwheels? I colored this little guy with m watercolor markers. I used the colors of one of my son's shirts for inspiration. See the cute little blue strip with the boat? That's actually the top of a paint chip. I thought it was the perfect little somethin' somethin' the ATC needed to add a bit more of the "playful" feeling. On to Bombshell! I chose to challenge our hoppers this month to a color challenge. I love color challenges! I found a beautiful palette from Design Seeds. Here it is. I told the hoppers that they need to use at least 3 of these colors, and can only add black, white, and neutrals to their projects. Here...

July Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop: Paint the Town!

Greetings! It's time for the July Hump Day Hop! This month, my challenge theme was "Paint the Town." So I wanted everyone to take out their paints and sprays and go nuts! I decided to make a few tags to be later used on other projects. I used a whole bunch of stamp sets for these 3 tags. I used Cherry Bomb , Man's Ruin , Tiki Party , and Girl's Ruin . I started by spraying each tag with sprays from Dreamweaver Stencils and Tattered Angels. Then I stenciled or brushed on some acrylic paint, and ended with stamping the images. Here's a closeup of each tag. I rarely use the devil head, and I thought this was a great opportunity to pull him out. Out of the 3, this is my favorite tag. No stencils were used on this one....just a fan brush to apply the paint. This will be cool on a scrapbook page I think. Now, to have a tiki party...... ;) This tag gave me some trouble. There's actually a car underneath that blue patch of paint. It didn't embo...

All I want for Christmas...:Day 10 of 12 Days of Creepmas

Greetings! It's time for my newest project for the Smeared and Smudged 12 Days of Creepmas! We are quickly reaching the end of this fun ride, and the time has gone SO fast! Having both of my kids Birthdays in December really makes it hard for me to keep up with everything! For this card, I used my beloved Bombshell Stamps . This card is super glittery! I used Girl's Ruin and Holiday Accessory  for this card. Don'tcha just lover her Santa hat? Seriously, where I can I get these shoes in my size? If you haven't noticed, I changed the sentiment a bit.... It now says "All I really want.....is you shoes!" I think I may add a few rhinestones or black pearls to this....I kinda ran out of time! But, in person, it does have a lot of impact from all the glitter. But really, can you ever have too much glitter? I think not! Please be sure to visit the rest of the Jolly Bloggers. They are all listed in my side bar. And over at the Bombshell Blog , this mon...

September Pin-Up Challenge: Paint Splatter

Hello! It is time to share the September Pin-Up Challenge from Bombshell Stamps . This month, Lizzie , our Pin-Up of the month, challenged us to use paint splatter on our projects. This was SO up my alley!!! I love to splatter paint! I decided to work with one f my newer (for me) sets, Girl's Ruin . This was so much fun for me. I started off by stamping the focal image from Girl's Ruin twice. The first version, I colored only the Bombshell's skin and tights. The second (which I had separated from everything else so that I wouldn't ruin any other images with paint), I went to town with. I chose three colors (very 80's combo, don'tcha think?), and splattered the whole thing with a fan brush. I had so much fun flicking and spattering paint everywhere! When I was happy with my splatter, and it was totally dry, I cut out the large shoe, her bikini top, and her teeny shoe. I kept them attached to each other. This was actually a pretty easy cutting job c...

August Bombshell Stamps Sketch Challenge

Howdy Bombshell Fans! Today I am sharing the Latest Bombshell Stamps Sketch Challenge. Did you know that this month is Bombshell's 5th Anniversary? We want to celebrate in a BIG way! There's lots going on at the forum, so please be sure to stop by and join in the festivities! Here's the sketch that our always-fabulous Kaptain Kathi came up with for this month. I flipped the sketch around and used a few less layers. I just got FOUR new (to me) sets in the mail the other day, so I was totally excited and overwhelmed! I had a hard time choosing which set to use! I decided to go with Girl's Ruin . The pinks look so much better in person...I am not sure why they photographed looking so different from each other. Ahhh, the colors are better here. Not perfect, but better. How great does she and her shoes look all glittered up? I wish I had them for myself! After I glittered the shoes, I decided that  really liked the white on top. So I used a few pale blue Copics ...
