Stamp  Umbrella   Ride  House Mouse with Versafine ink in Onyx Black. Color with Tombow Dual Brush Markers as listed above. Fussy cut.  2. Die cut Winter Lake cardstock from My Colors with the 4 1/2" x 3" Fitted Frame. Take the Picasso tool and place it near the top of the die cut. Apply a small amount of acrylic paint to your stencil brush, and rub off excess on to a paper towel. In a circular motion, apply the paint to the cloud portion of the stencil to the die cut. Move the tool around the entire die cut to complete the cloud background.  3. Die cut the 1 1/2" x 1" Fitted Frame in Loveable cardstock. Time for a new challenge over at Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge , and I am loving the theme. It's "Lots of Glitter!" Glitter makes me happy...how about you? We are sponsored by Concetta Kilmer this week. My whole background of the image is glitter. About 6 colors worth. And the image (called Wise Owl) was colored with my Tombow watercolor markers. I also added 3 dots of Stickles under the image. You can't tell in my photos, but my background cardstock has some shimmer to it as well. I also used a glitter pen on the owl a bit. Greetings! I am excited about the next 2 weeks, as the Stampendous team is hopping along with the House Mouse and Friends Challenge Blog . This hop is a little different from our other hops...commenting will not enter you to win prizes, you'll have to play along and make a project to try to win! You can enter your project on the House Mouse and Friends blog post HMFMC #215. The challenge is to "Use Stencils." I used Violet Nap  for my card, and I watercolored it. This image is just sooooo sweet. I used 3 stencils for the card, and 2 Fitted Frames. The purple sprayed stencil is the Mosaic Swirls . The Green is the Ginkgo Bough , and on the purple background, I used Crusade . I used various inks and sprays to get the stencil images on to the cardstock. I also added a bit of washi tape. I like putting various patterns together that wouldn't necessarily go together. I think they work here though. For full details, please be sure to visit the Stampendous

Happy Easter! Today, I want to share a card for you that I made for my family. Fairly recently, I saw some freebies from Useless Trinkets , and I quickly became pretty nuts over the images. I haven't had much time to make projects just for the sake of making them, but I knew I just had to make one with Cookie Jar the unicorn today. I'm telling you, these digis are the shit. Sometimes a little creepy, sometimes a little cute, and always freaking hilarious. So apparently, the Easter Bunny is sick, so Cookie Jar the unicorn decided to step in and help out. What a good friend! I used watercolors for Cookie Jar, plus a bit of Fireworks Spray from Imagine Crafts on his background. For the main background, I opened up my first to pots of Dylusions paint (I have wanted these paints for SO long! I can't wait to get more colors!), and I finger-painted it. I also used 2 Dylusions sprays on it. A teeny piece of washi tape was the only other thing I thought the card needed.

Hello! It's time for a new challenge with A Day for Daisies ! For the next 2 weeks, we want you to add some GLITTER! I looooove me some glitter, so this was super easy and kind of a no-brainer for me. I used Forest Friends for today's project, which just so happens to be an Art Journal page. I haven't made one of these in about 9 months, and I REALLY need to start making them again. I started off by "coloring" the tree with Vintage Photo Distress Stickles. Then, my son Phoenix and I colored in the leaves of the tree using a shimmery green gel pen. After the tree dried completely I applied some Glossy Accents to the grass and covered it all with Green Micro Glitter from Stampendous . Last, I colored the animals and sky with my Tombow Dual Brush watercolor markers. Now it was time to play with my background. I sprayed it with 4 different mists, by just as many companies. One of them was Wedding Dress irRESISTables by Imagine Crafts, which is nice and thick,

Hello! This week, the Stampendous Design Team decided to revisit the fantastic book that Stampendous owner Fran Seiford has written, called Embossing Techniques from A-Z. This book has so many awesome ideas, we needed to share some more with you. I decided to do letter "H" this time around. I used the Tiny House Wagon stamp, along with the Growing Tree stamp. I'm not going to tell you what I did though....you need to get Fran's book for that! But I will show you a close up. ;) I added some lace to the edge, and I inked it with some VersaFine ink from Imagine Crafts . My background was done with a mess of different sprays, and then I inked the Quatrefoil Stencil on top by using a sponge dauber and Bronze Burst Delicata ink. It's subtle, but you can see it in the above photo. I also addeda button and some pretty olive green May Arts ribbon. Below are all of the ladies posting projects today. Greetings! I am really excited about the Wicked Wednesday theme for this week. It's Star Wars!!!! And Sassy Studios Designs was kind enough to provide us with some fun digis to play with. I am a huge Star Wars fan so I was super stoked for this week. I used Space Droid Honey for my ATC. I colored the droid with a few Tombow Dual Brush watercolor markers. I fussy cut it out and then started to play with my background. The base of the ATC started off as just white cardstock. I used 4 Dylusions sprays, 1 Deco Art Mister, 1 Imagine Crafts irRESISTables, and some Chunky White embossing powder from Stampendous. I know, I know...that's a lot of stuff for a 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece of cardstock. But I think the combination made it  look like the sky. Hello! It's post #2 for me today. Here, I am sharing a new card that I have made for A Day for Daisies . We are sharing some beautiful images from the Forest Friends category, and my digi is called New Shoes . I colored this sweet fairy with my Tombow Dual Brush markers. I inked up an acrylic stamping block with the markers and applied the colors to the images with a brush and some water. For her wings, I used my Imagine Crafts irRESISTables Pico Embellisher in Shimmer, to give a little bit of glimmer to them. My background was done with chalk. Hello! Today is the finale of the Deflecto and Stampendous Hop! Deflecto shared some amazing products with the Stampendous team, and I know that we have all been very excited to share our creations with you. This is such a great product. I love how many different containers are in one, small area, and that it's on a Lazy Susan. I also love that it's clear. So when I found out I was going to be decorating this piece, I knew I didn't want to lose the fact that I could see what was inside each of the triangles. Our theme this week is Spring, so I decided to work with the Cling Daisy Mix Stamps and Dies sets. Then I had to decide what to stamp these daisies on....again, I wanted to try to maintain the clarity of the carousel, so  broke out some Vertigo from Imagine Cra

The Stampendous team has been having fun all week playing with the Deflecto team and some of their great products. Deflecto was kind enough to send the Stampendous team some awesome items, one of which I am sharing with you today. There are some awesome prizes up for grabs, and you can learn all about them at the Stampendous and Deflecto blogs. I used 2 stencils for this frame. Cathedral Windows Small and Large . For the small, I used Copper Embossing Paste, and for the Large, I used Pearlescent. I sprinkled Lavender Glass Glitter over the wet paste, as will as a little Silver Micro Glitter . I went for imperfect, slightly random patterns. I wanted it to go past the black edge a bit. I needed to allow dry time between sections, so as to not smudge what I had already laid down. I used a fairly neutral palette, so that I can swap out the photo easily and it it will still coordinate. I'll have another project to share tomorrow, and I can't wait for you to see

Hello! It's my second post today. That hasn't happened in a while, so please be sure to scroll down to my following post to see what I did with 2 pieces of PVC. But first, let me show you 2 projects I made for A Day for Daisies . The theme for the next 2 weeks is to "Add Pearls or Beads." One of my projects should have been up last week, but my little girl was sick, so I didn't have time to finish it for last Friday. So, that one doesn't have pearls or beads. I colored this lovely mermaid (named Vintage Pink Lingerie) with my Tombow markers. And I created her background with a few different sprays and my Small Scales stencil from Stampendous. I also added a sentiment from Stampendous, and lots of fabulous Burgundy glitter at the bottom of the tag. The ribbon is from May Arts. Now, for my next project I was inspired by the negative print that I made with my stencil. I had already colored the mermaid, and I thought she'd look great with it. I

Hello! It's time for the finale of the DecoArt and Stampendous blog hop. Have you enjoyed yourself this week? I bet you've got some new techniques that you want to try. I know I do! I am super stoked about my project for today. And it solves a dilemma that we've had in my kids' room for a while. What you see above is 2 pieces of PVC. And some fab DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics ! So, what am I doing with PVC, you ask? Well, my mom bought my son a light saber(Darth Vader's) for Christmas, and he wanted to display it, but we weren't really sure where in his room, and how. I wanted something cooler than hooks, and we thought it would be neat to have the light saber vertical, instead of horizontal. Plus, there was a fab spot for it if it hung in that direction. So, my husband came up with the PVC pip idea, and I altered the pieces. The end cap holds the base, and the small piece of pipe holds up near the end. And the 2 pieces are spaced out enough so that
