Thanks: New Dilly Beans Challenge

Happy Friday! I for one, am thrilled that it's Friday. My husband has been away on business since early Monday morning, and I cannot wait for him to come back home tonight! I have a brand new Dilly Beans challenge to share with you today. The theme this week is "Thanks." I have a lot of people in my life that need to be thanked lately...and for that fact alone, I am grateful.

I made this card for someone very special...but I don't want to say who it is in case she hasn't gotten it yet. I did something very different for my card today. Can you figure out what it is?

I colored her blonde! I hardly ever do that. I figured it was time to push some boundaries. Plus, my recipient recently went blonde, so I thought it was appropriate. I colored Chloe Bell Framed (#454) completely with watercolors.

My sentiment is also from Dilly Beans. I liked combining all of the different patterned papers. This was a fun (and easy!) layout to do. I think I will do it again soon, but perhaps with some more layers. I am entering this card into the latest Altered Alice challenge. which is Gratitude. She kinda looks like Alice, no? Thanks for playing alomg with The Altered Alice! I love your coloring, and it is perfect with the cheerful papers. She does look like Alice, so two chances for you in the draw!

Echo Park Blog Hop with Imagine

Greetings! This is my second post for the day. This one is not part of the 31 Days of Halloween, but rather a super-duper blog hop that the Artists in Residence for Imagine are doing with Echo Park . So if you're here for my Day 7 project, please check out the post HERE . But before you do that, scroll on to check out this one. There are prizes up for grabs, so be sure to check out the Imagine Blog as well as the Echo Park Blogs for details. I created my background by applying Dandelion and Tangelo Memento Ink to my brayer. Then I sprayed it with Ink Potion No. 9 to help the colors blend and to act as an extender to keep the inks wet longer. After I rolled the colors out on to watercolor paper and let it dry, I stamped the lovely doily-like image from Echo Park's Simply Sweet Stamp Set with Grape Jelly Memento. I also received the super pretty Heart Doily Designer Die which I used with a true purple cardstock. But it needed something....and in rolls the super fabul...
