Anything Boy Challenge: Dilly Beans

Happy Friday! It's been a crazy week here in NY again....We got nailed with snow, more power outages, a gas shortage and only 1 day of school this week. I can't even imagine what Winter is going to be like! On the bright side, I have a new Dilly Beans Challenge to share with you today! This week, our challenge is Anything Boy. I love this challenge, because I find that often, projects are made more for girls than boys. It's time to show the dudes some crafty love!

I used Martin (#376) for my card today. I just love him! I had so much fun coloring him, and I love his clothes.

I colored him with a bunch of watercolor markers and Copics. I really enjoyed doing his skin....those greens make me happy.

I used a bunch of paper scraps, and Distress Stickles for faux staples. And a couple of cool swirls. My "No. 1" is from Fiskars. All in all, I think it's a funky boyish card. I wouldn't have recognized this image as a Dilly Bean if you hadn't showcased it. I'm loving it though and I think any boy would love it too.

February Smeared & Smudged Sketch Challenge

The new Smeared & Smudged challenges are up and ready for you to participate in! I got instantly inspired by Kelli’s card sketch for the month, as I have been working with different ideas for my next “Tarot Card.” Haha! That’s actually pretty funny! Don’t worry…it’s actually a joyful image…one that I intend to use a lot! First, here’s the sketch. I flipped it and changed the ribbon and embellishment a bit. Can I just start off by saying that it is quite nerve wracking to slice your image??? I have done it a few times in the past, but I always get butterflies when I attempt it again. I colored the image and the card itself using nothing but Distress Inks and my Cut-n-Dry Nibs. My skull button at the top has been colored with Alcohol Inks. The colors look a little off ...

"Dream-Pendous" Collaboration!

Greetings! This is going to be such an exciting week for Dreamweaver Stencil s fans and Stampendous Stamps fans alike. It's going to be a "Dream-Pendous" week of inspiration!
