Day 11 of 31 Days: XOXO

Halloween is in 20 days!!! I can't believe it! I really need to get working on my family's costumes. But for now, allow me to share with you my latest creation featuring Dilly Beans images.

For this card, I used Mrs. Skellington Framed and Mr. Skellington Framed. Don''t they look happy together?

I used watercolor markers and Copics for this duo. I spent a lot of time on their heads...I really loved mixing the greens together and playing with the shades.

I found some fun paper from Prima that I thought looked really great with The Skellingtons. The "XOXO" is from the same Prima pack. It's a fun and kooky Halloween card, that shows a little bit of love. Which, yeah, I think is totally appropriate since my Anniversary is 2 days before Halloween.
Now it's time for you to keep hopping! You can head over to Christine's Blog to see what she's created for today. The entire Wicked Blogger Hop List is on my side bar.

Your images are coloured beautifully, I don't think I've seen watercolour markers. Are they hard to use?

February Smeared & Smudged Sketch Challenge

The new Smeared & Smudged challenges are up and ready for you to participate in! I got instantly inspired by Kelli’s card sketch for the month, as I have been working with different ideas for my next “Tarot Card.” Haha! That’s actually pretty funny! If you’ve been checking in over the past couple of weeks, you may have seen my Misty Benson Tarot Set 1 ( Smeared Ink ) cards. I’ve used The World and The Fool so far. Today, I bring you Death. Don’t worry…it’s actually a joyful image…one that I intend to use a lot! First, here’s the sketch. I flipped it and changed the ribbon and embellishment a bit. Can I just start off by saying that it is quite nerve wracking to slice your image??? I have done it a few times in the past, but I always get butterflies when I attempt it again. I colored the image and the card itself using nothing but Distress Inks and my Cut-n-Dry Nibs. My skull button at the top has been colored with Alcohol Inks.   The colors look a little off ...

Can you tel that I had soooooo much fun with her?!? It was a blast to rework her beautiful face and turn half of her into a sugar skull. The flowers are really what inspired me to do it. They are so big and be...
