StampInsanity #79: Chill Out!

Hello everybody! It's time for a new StampInsanity Challenge! This one is called "Chill Out." You need to use some pretty, icy blues on your project. I was telling Phoenix about all the stuff I need to make, and he told me that he wanted to help. I new that the StampInsanity project was perfect for him, because he has told me several times that he wanted to color in Nicholette and Pierette. He chose to work with Pierette this time around.

He made a bookmark! Well...we made a bookmark. He did all the coloring though! Isn't he handsome?

He started to make her look a little like a zombie (note the green)...guess he still has Halloween on the brain! But he decided to go with it being a green mask. More Halloween thoughts I guess! We mounted her on to a paint chip and added some fibers to the top. He is really happy with how it turned out!

I'm sure I'll find it poking out of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie or Frog and Toad real soon! I hope you will play along with this challenge. Who doesn't love to use blue? So hop on over to StampInsanity and see what the rest of the DT created! The Groovy Gurlz are all listed in my side bar as well. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

February Smeared & Smudged Sketch Challenge

The new Smeared & Smudged challenges are up and ready for you to participate in! I got instantly inspired by Kelli’s card sketch for the month, as I have been working with different ideas for my next “Tarot Card.” Haha! That’s actually pretty funny! If you’ve been checking in over the past couple of weeks, you may have seen my Misty Benson Tarot Set 1 ( Smeared Ink ) cards. I’ve used The World and The Fool so far. Today, I bring you Death. Don’t worry…it’s actually a joyful image…one that I intend to use a lot! First, here’s the sketch. I flipped it and changed the ribbon and embellishment a bit. Can I just start off by saying that it is quite nerve wracking to slice your image??? I have done it a few times in the past, but I always get butterflies when I attempt it again. I colored the image and the card itself using nothing but Distress Inks and my Cut-n-Dry Nibs. My skull button at the top has been colored with Alcohol Inks.   The colors look a little off ...

"Dream-Pendous" Collaboration!

Greetings! This is going to be such an exciting week for Dreamweaver Stencil s fans and Stampendous Stamps fans alike. It's going to be a "Dream-Pendous" week of inspiration! The Dreamweaver and Stampendous teams are collaborating once again with all the fun toys in each team's arsenals. Of course, as usual, there will be prizes given out for those who comment throughout the week. In fact, there will be 3 prize packs available! Each will have a great selection of Dreamweaver Stencils and Stampedous dies and images. One being the new "Blossom Beauty" face image as shown in the badge in my sidebar. I am beyond excited to share my project with you. I made an art journal page, with a....rather altered...version of the fantastic Blossom Beauty image. Can you tel that I had soooooo much fun with her?!? It was a blast to rework her beautiful face and turn half of her into a sugar skull. The flowers are really what inspired me to do it. They are so big and be...
