Rhiannon's Easter Card

A few posts ago, I shared with you my Easter card for Phoenix. Click HERE if you missed it. Thankfully, I had the girl version of Easter Ian from The Greeting Farm , so I decided to use her (Easter Anya) for my little Rhiannon. I used the latest Mojo Monday Sketch for the layout of my card. She's so cute! I tried to color her hair similarly to Rhiannon's. And I needed to make the card purple and pink, since those are her 2 favorite colors. She is such a girl! I had my tag team marker session, as usual...watercolor markers and Copics. I think Rhi is going to love her. In fact, I think she will gasp and say, "Mommy! It's so boo-iful! Did you make this for me???" Guaranteed. Of course, I added some rhinestones. There was no way I could give Phoenix rhinestones and not Rhiannon.    I liked this sketch. I haven't done a Mojo Monday sketch in ages, so it was fun to see what they had going on. And lately, I have really been enjoying this type of challe...

Verity Vamp and Boris the Bat: SBS Blog Hop!

It's Friday during the week of a Simply B Stamps release, so that means it's blog hop day! Although we released the new Spunky Spooks collection a wee bit earlier than usual, we certainly didn't want to pass up the chance for a fun hop. Today, we are sharing Verity Vamp and Boris the Bat. Love her! She's a vamp...of course I love her! She is my second favorite of this collection...shocking, I know! But Marcy comes out on top with this one. Did you see her? Check out my previous post for a card I made with her, and her pet scorpion Moses if you missed it. She's fabulous! I love her outfit! Especially that hat! I have a thing for using purple and red together, so that was the obvious choice for me when I started to color this image in. I used mostly watercolor markers for this, but with a few Copics thrown into the mix. My sentiment is also from SBS , and it's from the Wickidz senti collection . You've gotta snag those sentiments! I used my Dri...

Marcy Mummy and Moses- Spunky Spooks

Did you hear??? The Spunky Spooks have escaped! They are on the loose before our regular Friday release day! What does that mean? That you could be the proud owner of this new collection from Simply B Stamps right now !!! No need to wait until Friday this time! But, the Design team is still sharing our latest creations with you. And tomorrow, we will have a blog hop! So who's up today? Marcy Mummy and her scorpion pet, Moses. Normally, I don't like scorpions at all, but wait until you see this guy! He's such a cutie! This is my favorite image in this collection. I love all things Egyptian. And Marcy is so pretty! I colored her completely with Distress Inks, except for her hair, which was done with watercolor markers. The ink around Marcy is from Color Box. For this challenge, I used the April Smeared and Smudged card sketch. I liked this sketch a lot. It was really easy to work with. I was super excited to make this card, because I got to break out my Judi Kins...

Lorna Loch and Nessie

Greetings! I am sharing a new Simply B Stamps image with you tonight. If you have been following the SBS Blog this week, you would have seen the first couple of the brand new Spunky Spooks collection. Today we are traveling to the mysterious Highlands of Scotland to meet Lorna Loch and her friend Nessie. Yes, you read correctly, Nessie, the Loch Ness monster does exist, and she loves to frolic around the Loch with her friend Lorna. How great is this duo? I had great fun coloring them. As soon as I saw this image, I knew I wanted to use a lot of green, and that's just what I did! I used my watercolor markers and my Copics. I actually used more Copics this time around. See that pretty color around the edge of the image? That's Evergreen Bough, a Limited Edition Distress Ink. Such a pretty color! I used some pretty green rain dots for bubbles, and a few pieces of scrap paper. My mini artist, Phoenix, of course assisted throughout the whole process. This kid needs a b...

Rotten Eggs for a Wicked Easter

Early Easter greetings! The Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls and I have a fun challenge for you today, that goes right along with this holiday. "Rotten Eggs for a Wicked Easter." We want you to create a dark Easter project. Fun right? And since this is the 1st Tuesday of the month, you can make anything. It does  not  have to be an altered item. I chose to work with Judy, from the Simply B Stamps Sweet Gothic Kids Easter collection. For the rest of this week, SBS will be offering this set in digital form. But after this week, you will only be able to get them in rubber. So if you're a digi freak, get 'em while you can! I wish I owned Judy's dress! She was a lot of fun to color, especially her hair. I of course had to add a wee bit of a signature color to it, so I went with purple! I colored Miss Judy with my watercolor markers and Copics. Look at those cool skulls on the bottom of her dress! I used a mess of different papers, including the foiled p...

Wickidz Release Day

It's release day for the Wickidz! This is the newest (and one of the darker) collections by Simply B Stamps. The Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls not only have 3 more Wickidz images to share with you, but we also have a set of 12 coordinating sentiments to go along with them! And, these sentiments will be great not only for this set, but for many, many other images you probably already own! Today, I am sharing Winnie with you. How great is she?! I wonder what she's concocting...Do you think it's something good...or naughty? From the look on her face...I'm thinkin' naughty! I colored Winnie in with my own concoction of watercolor markers and Copics. I added a cool image of a potion bottle from Inkadinkado and a whole lotta beautiful, gunmetal colored glitter. Of course, this was also begging for my Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch, which I did with colors that looked like the candle wax drips in Winnie's background. And how great is that paper with her?...
