July Bombshell Hump Day Hop!

Greetings! It’s time for another Bombshell Stamps hop, which sadly means that I am coming to the end of my month-long term as a Guest Designer. It makes me sad… But have no fear! I will of course continue to play along with the other challenges, and I’ll have some of my own ideas too! ;} You should be coming from my lovely friend, Meredith ’s blog. This is what Kas challenged us to do this time around: She's a Firecracker Alright! I would love to see something along the lines of: 1) Red - White - Blue 2) Firecrackers (Bombshells) 3) Military 4) or sparkling like a firework! Here is my lil project for today: Please pardon the awful photos…I just ran out of time! I will try to take some prettier ones! You can click on any of them to see them bigger. See the sheen on my stripey paper? It’s got a beautiful luster to it. Kind of golden. It’s from Reminisce, and I knew it was perfect for this challenge! You can see it a little better here. Gothic Green Mermaid

Hello! Over at Smeared and Smudged , we do swaps every month. One for images, and one for ATC’s. Last month’s image swap was mermaids, and I used the following image (from Queen Kat Designs) in this card. I opened my little envelope filled with fantastic images and this one was right on top! I fell in love with her! She is so pretty and yet so sly looking. So StampItCrazy is having a Gothic Green Challenge this week, in which I am going to enter my mermaid card. So… wanna see it? She’s so sassy! I colored her with my trust Spectracolor colored pencils. I made her green to represent deep, kinda murky water. Her hair is bright orange like some forms of coral. She i...

My 100th Post!!! Plus, an Autumn Card

Wow! I can hardly believe that I have actually gotten to 100 posts! I didn’t even want a blog a few short months ago… now, I’m so happy I have one! I love being able to share my creations, my kids, my thoughts…all of these things with you! Here’s to the next 100!!! So I have been wanting to make this card for a certain someone for weeks now. Really. Weeks. I just didn’t want to do it in October, as I was focusing more one Halloween. I thought that this card would be better suited for November, as I am very thankful for this person. Plus, she’s not really in to the Halloween thing, so I wanted to make sure I gave this to her well after the Holiday. Plus, it just so happens to fit right in to TWO challenges that I’ve seen this week! The first challenge was with The Pink Elephant Challenge #39 . The challenge was to use Brown, Yellow, Neutral and Color of your choice. Cool. I’m in. The second was with Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC40 ). You needed to use a colored in image, te...
