Copper Penny Hex Shakers

Hello Crafty Friends! Today I am sharing a shaker card using the gorgeous Copper Penny Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground . But before we jump in, let me ask you....do you play along with The Daily Marker's 30 Day Coloring Challenge? I try to play along each time it happens, but I admittedly have a tough time completing the entire month, unfortunately. I really need to work on that! The reason I ask is because I am guessing that some of you, like me, wind up with a bunch of colored images but not a completed project. I keep an envelope of my colored images on my desk so that I can rummage through them any time I need to make something quick, or I'm not sure what I feel like working on. That's what I did with this card. This adorable kitty from Vera Lane was colored and fussy cut some time ago, but I just didn't have a chance to complete a project with him. He's part of the Quirky Zombie Couple and Cat digi set.  I colored the cat with Memento Markers ,...

Make your Own Sunshine with WW

Hello! It's time for a new Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge . For this theme, we are sponsored by the fantastic Vera Lane . I love these images because they are fun and quirky. The challenge is "Make your Own Sunshine." I used images from the Aloha set . The set comes with 5 images, but I only used 2 today. I colored the images on Canson Mixed Media Paper and colored them with Zig Clean Color Markers. I recently splurged a bit on myself and bought the 12 new Distress Oxide Inks from Tim Holtz, and my background was created with those. I didn't think the images needed more embellishing, so I kept the ATC simple. I'm hoping to get another couple done for this challenge, so please check back. Meanwhile, give the Wicked Wednesday Blog a visit to see what the rest of the team has created. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Something in the Sky with Wicked Wednesday

Hello! It's time for a brand new challenge with Wicked Wednesday . This week, we are sponsored by the amazing Vera Lane Studio . I looooove these digis. They're so fun and funky. The challenge theme is "Something in the Sky." I used the Whimsical Sailor plus a sun and sentiment from that collection. I colored the images up with my Memento Markers from Imagine Crafts. The clouds were all created using the Picasso Shield/Stencil from Dreamweaver Stencils. I found a pretty blue cardstock that has some little bits of glitter, and I thought it was perfect for the sky. Thank you so much to Vera Lane Studio for sponsoring Wicked Wednesday again. Hopefully, I will get another ATC made for this challenge before next week. Please be sure to visit the Wicked Wednesday Blog to see more fabulous ATC's. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Add an Animal with Wicked Wednesday

Hello! It's time for a new Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge! This week, we are sponsored by the fantabulous Vera Lane . I LOOOOVE their digis! It is so much fun to work with them, and I am always inspired. Our challenge for you is to "Add an Animal." Pretty easy, especially with the wonderful animals you can get from Vera Lane. Here's my ATC. I combined 2 images from the Whimsical Coffee Lover set. I painted it with Crayola watercolors. Yup. It's true. I used Crayola. They work great and they don't dull out my images' black outlines. I used scrap papers for the ATC, and some fun Hot Lime Frantage Color Fragments  (from Stampendous ) along the side. I applied them after putting down a layer of Zip Dry glue from Beacon Adhesives. That's all for me today! Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Wednesday gals. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Day 17 of 31: My Heart, Your Brain

Hello out there in Bloggy-Land! It's Day 17 of the Smeared and Smudged 31 Days of Halloween. Today I have the companion ATC for that sweetie of a mummy that I posted the other day . This image is from Vera Lane , as was the mummy. She is in fact, part of the same Quirky Zombie and Cat collection. And, most importantly, she's the mummy's girlfriend. See? He was only sad the other day because I hadn't posted his gal yet. I colored her with my Tombow watercolor markers. My background was done on watercolor paper with a few sprays of color. Then, I stamped Andy Skinner's (for Stampendous) Scratch stamp from the Industrial Cling set. It "junked up" the background perfectly, I think. The fab sentiment is from the Vera Lane collection as well. I think my little couple will be quite happy together, side by side....don't you think? Be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, all listed in my side bar. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creeptastic...

Sprays and Splatters with Wicked Wednesday

Hello! Have I got a post for your today! I have five, that's right, FIVE ATCs to share with you today. I was so beyond inspired by this week's Wicked Wednesday sponsor, that I just couldn't help myself! So who is it? Vera Lane ! Now with this many projects, I'm not going to into great detail with what I did for each one. But if you have a question for me, please ask! I'll be happy to answer. I colored almost all of the images with my Tombow watercolor markers. This first ATC features the Whimsical Mermaid set. My backgrounds were done with a combination of Dylusions, and Memories Mists sprays. At the bottom of this ATC, I used Green Mica Fragments , from Stampendous . My next ATC features the focal image from The Little Witch set. My background uses a few of the stamps from the Stampendous Spooky House Perfectly Clear set. Actually, all of my background stamps are from Stampendous. This cutie is the only one that I used Chameleon Pens for. I thoug...
