Hump Day Hop with Bombshell and Wicked Wednesday

Hello and welcome to the June 2014 Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop. I also have a new ATC  for Wicked Wednesday . This month, the hop theme was "Red Carpet Ready," and I wanted everyone to glam up their Bombshells as if they were going to walk the red carpet. Here's what I made. I used Bombshell Angel along with the Evening Bombshell digis for her outfit. I colored her with a combination of watercolor markers and alcohol markers. I love this dress, and I want it for myself. I was inspired by the dress that Angelina Jolie wore a couple of years ago that was emerald green. It popped so beautifully against the red carpet. My background was done with my Houndstooth stencil from Dreamweaver Stencils . I applied Copper Embossing Paste to the stencil and then sprinkled some pretty iridescent glitter on to the wet paste. For the sentiment, I applied the paste with a palette knife, and then the glitter again. Below is the full hop list. Bombshell Blog: http://bo...

Triple Threat!

Hello out there! Today, I have 3 projects to share with you! That's right...3! It's a crafting trifecta! The 2nd Step in the Dark Challenge , new Wicked Wednesday , and a new Color Challenge with Bombshell Stamps . The Step in the Dark challenge is to "Use Purple" or Anything Goes. Here's my piece. This is an ATC using Lilli Faye from Make it Crafty. Lotsa purple here! The swirls on my background paper is pearly. And I used lots of Ice Stickles to give this faye some much needed sparkle. The new Wicked Wednesday Challenge is "Foxy", and we are sponsored by Sami Stamps. I LOVE the image I was given to work with! Coloring this image was a lot of fun. I used alcohol markers, as I did on Lilli above. Aren't those foxes adorable? More with the glitter...this time, super chunky and green. I'm entering this Foxy ATC in the Sami Stamps "Anything Goes" challenge. I love color challenges. That's why I was so excited to ...

February Bombshell Hump Day Hop and Wicked Wednesday

Hi! I have 2 projects to share with you. It's Wednesday, so not only do I have a new Wicked Wednesday ATC for you, but it's the last Wednesday of the month so it's time for the Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop. This week's WW challenge, is Kids at Play, and we are sponsored by Digi Darla. What kid doesn't love pinwheels? I colored this little guy with m watercolor markers. I used the colors of one of my son's shirts for inspiration. See the cute little blue strip with the boat? That's actually the top of a paint chip. I thought it was the perfect little somethin' somethin' the ATC needed to add a bit more of the "playful" feeling. On to Bombshell! I chose to challenge our hoppers this month to a color challenge. I love color challenges! I found a beautiful palette from Design Seeds. Here it is. I told the hoppers that they need to use at least 3 of these colors, and can only add black, white, and neutrals to their projects. Here...

12 Days of Creepmas: Day 2 and Bombshell Wacky Holiday

Welcome, welcome! It's Day 2 of the Smeared & Smudged 12 Days of Creepmas. Plus, over at Bombshell Stamps , we are celebrating the wacky holiday "Wear Brown Shoes Day." So I decided to combine the 2. Basically, Wear Brown Shoes day is simply a day to dust off your underused brown shoes, and wear them! I told you it was wacky. I used a bunch of sets for this one little card. Bombshell Angel , Holiday Accessory , and 2 digi sets, Business Bombshell and Fun 'N Flirty dress up sets. I colored my Bombshell with Copics and Spectrum Noirs. My background was done with a Tim Holtz clock stencil, inked with Gathered Twigs and Peeled Paint Distress Inks. Please be sure to visit the Bombshell Blog for some more projects for this wacky holiday. And don't forget to wear your brown shoes tomorrow (which is the actual date of the holiday...aren't you glad I gave you advanced warning?)! And of course, there's that fabulous list of Jolly Bloggers, listed...

Day 30 of 31: October Bombshell Hump Day Hop- Witching Hour

Hello Horrifying Hoppers! Welcome to the last Wednesday of the month. That means it's time for the Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop! This month, I chose the theme "Witching Hour." The witching hour is supposedly the time when witches, ghosts and other supernatural creatures wreak havoc. I say the witching hour can be any hour when you have goblins like mine. Just kidding. My kids are actually really well behaved. But I digress. And after this month, you are probably not surprised. I used Bombshell Angel , and the witch costume from the Halloween Costume digi set for my focal piece. I colored her with alcohol markers. After I cut her out, I glued her to a tag that I had inked with 2 chalk inks (Color Box), and a few smaller stamps. I used the bats from Holiday Accessory , and the scroll from Alter Skulls.   My sentiment is an old image from Basic Grey. I added some tattered yarn for my tassel, and that is it. Below is the full hop list. Please visit everyone, and f...

Day 2 of 31: Bombshell's October Pin-Up Challenge

Hello! Welcome to Day 2 of the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween. Today, I am sharing the Bombshell Stamps ' October Pinup Challenge.  Sharon Rogers , has set this month's challenge to create a Halloween project using black, orange, purple, and lime green. I used Halloween Costume for Bombshell Angel and the bats from Holiday Accessory for my card. I'd like to point out that the green background paper does actually have that fade from dark to light. That wasn't my lighting being weird or anything. I colored my Bombshell with colored pencils. I don't get to use my pencils too often, so it was really nice to bust 'em out. I didn't do a whole lot to this card, as I loved the green paper's print. I didn't want to hide too much of it. This is an easy challenge for you to play along with, especially you Wicked Bloggers that have some Bombshells and not all of your projects complete. So play along! You could win a new set of stamps...

April Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop: Color Challenge

Hello! It's the last Wednesday of the month (and my husband's birthday!), so it's time for the Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop. This month, I gave us a color challenge. I love doing those! Here's the palette, from Design Seeds . I challenged the participants to use at least 3 of these lovely colors...though more is always better. The only shade that I didn't use is the gray. I used Bombshell Angel and the Fun 'N Flirty digi clothes. I also used 2 stamps from the Cherry Bomb set, and the zebra print from Bombshell Patterns . I colored my images using a mix of watercolor markers and alcohol markers. I love this outfit. It's sassy. It's hard to tell, but the main card is cream. I thought white would have been too stark. But, I think it should have been a smaller card. Though, I do love that dotted paper. It's nice to see so much of it. Now it's time for you to keep hopping. And, if you have some Bombshells of your own to play with (...

Bombshell February pin-Up Challenge: Red and Gold

Greetings Bombshell Fans! Today I am bringing you a project that I made to coincide with the February Pin Up, Christine Hill Garner . Her challenge was to create a project using Red & Gold. Here's what I made. I used a lot of stamp sets for this clean and simple card, believe it or not. I started of course, with Bombshell Angel . But I wanted to change her outfit, so I printed out a couple of outfits from the Fun 'N Flirty Bombshell   set. I decided I wanted to glitter up the skirt, and add a pattern to her shirt, so I used the zebra print from the Bombshell Patterns set. Last, but certainly not least, I used a sentiment from the Mermaid Treasure set. With 20/20 hindsight, I should have given her skirt a base color. I of course thought of this after I squished all of that yummy glitter on. Oh well. Next time. As a side note, my kids loved watching my put her clothes together, especially when I showed them how I was putting the pattern on the shirt. I love that m...

Day 17 of 31 Days: Bombshell Halloween Bling!

My dear friend Alex is a Pin-Up once again for Bombshell Stamps, and I am beyond thrilled about it. As Pin-Up for the month of October, she has the privilege to choose a challenge for us to all participate in. She decided to go with "Halloween Bling," which just sounded fabulous to me. I used one of the outfits from  Halloween Costume from Bombshell Stamps . I've gotta be honest. I love how my witch came out. And I love the papers I chose. But, I am not happy with the end result. I don't know if it's the layout, the combination of the papers with the colors of the image...I'm just not happy with it. But, I'll give you a closer look at the witch so you can see some of the "bling" I used. If you click on the picture, you will see it bigger. I received some FABULOUS gifts from my very thoughtful friend Kathi last week, and they included Bedazzlers from Ranger (Suze Weinberg). So I chose my colors based off of one of those little jars of b...

April Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop!

It's the last Wednesday of the month...so you know what that means! It's time for the Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop! It's Alison, your official Hump Day Hottie, and I am SO stoked about this month's hop theme. And I think you will be too. This month's hop is HUGE! We have  17 amazing stops  for you to take. And I am sure you are going to love every single one of them! Here's what I wrote in the forum. "On April 22, 1923, a star was born. A star that we all know. A star that, without her, Bombshell Stamps may not even exist (if I may be so presumptuous). Who is it? None other than Bettie Page. What better month to pay homage to the Pin-Up Queen herself than the month of her birth? So for this hop, I want you to give Ms. Page some love. Make a project, any type of project, using her as inspiration. There are thousands of images to view, lots of quotes she has said, and others have said about her." Here are some photos of Ms. Page. I searched ...

New DICC, Bombshell Challenge, and Scrappy Chick Sketch

Hello! There are a couple of challenges going on that I’d love for you to play along with. The first is the new Desert Islands Crafters Challenge . The second is what would typically be the GDT Challenge from Bombshell Stamps , but Glittery Kate had to fill in for our original GDT’er.  Last, but certainly not least, I used the latest Scrappy Chick Sketch. This time the latest itinerary from DICC was created by our very own Taylor . Here it is: Taylor's Itinerary 1. 2 or more patterned papers 2. stars 3. green 4. sparkle/bling 5. kraft 6. polka dots 7. twine 8. stitching (faux or real) 9. 2 or more die cuts 10. stickers And this is Glittery Katie’s challenge: “What goes through your mind when you think of love, maybe cherubs, chocolates music and whispering sweet nothings to your honey bun or perhaps something a little darker....broken hearts, tears and thoughts of sweet, sweet revenge So here's my Valentine challenge to you this month, I want to see what's in your heart...

December Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop: Give it to Me, Baby!

Seasons Greetings! It is time for the very last Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop for 2011! I can't believe the year is just about over. I had a great time with the theme for the hop. This month, the theme is "Give it to Me, Baby!" What's that mean? You had to make a gift for someone using your Bombshell Stamps . Even if that someone is you! This also meant no cards. Unless of course, you are making a super snazzy gift card holder, but I wanted the participants to it the old college try and try to make something else. I'm talking jewlery, altered art, mini canvases...anything that you could give to someone as a gift. The possibilites were endless! I combined this theme with Ms. December's (Torrey) challenge, which was Hot and Steamy. Quite interesting challenge titles we had this month, no? ;) Torrey's challenge was steampunk...which is so very Alison! Here's what I made.... I used one of those inexpensive wooden frames from Michaels. I started off wit...
