First Look: April Club Kit with ADfD

Hello! Happy April! I am really excited to share a first look at the new April Club Kit with A Day for Daises. Wedding season is almost upon us, (in fact, I have a wedding to go to this month!) so what is more fitting than a beautiful set of bride images? These ladies are all so lovely, I'm sure you'll love them. Today, I used Vintage Bride Veil.

I colored this image with my Tombow Dual Brush markers. I think she looks so regal that I didn't want to add too much "fluff" to the rest of the card. Here's a close up.

I did think the card needed some sparkle and shine, so I broke out Imagine Crafts' irRESISTables Pico Embellisher in Wedding Dress and Shimmer. I added Shimmer Dots on the image layer, and Wedding Dress on the metallic cardstock. I also added some of each in the corners of the right side of the card. I also spritzed some Sheer Shimmer spray on my card base. The photo below shows some of the sparkle.

You can click on the photo to see it bigger. It's always so tough to capture sparkle on camera. I added some pretty damask washi tape as well. Please be sure to visit the rest of the A Day for Daisies team to see what they created with the new April Club it. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

I love that image! Just beautiful, and I love the taupey-metallic color you used for the background. Very elegant and vintage.

February Smeared & Smudged Sketch Challenge

The new Smeared & Smudged challenges are up and ready for you to participate in! I got instantly inspired by Kelli’s card sketch for the month, as I have been working with different ideas for my next “Tarot Card.” Haha! That’s actually pretty funny! If you’ve been checking in over the past couple of weeks, you may have seen my Misty Benson Tarot Set 1 ( Smeared Ink ) cards. I’ve used The World and The Fool so far. Today, I bring you Death. Don’t worry…it’s actually a joyful image…one that I intend to use a lot! First, here’s the sketch. I flipped it and changed the ribbon and embellishment a bit. Can I just start off by saying that it is quite nerve wracking to slice your image??? I have done it a few times in the past, but I always get butterflies when I attempt it again. I colored the image and the card itself using nothing but Distress Inks and my Cut-n-Dry Nibs. My skull button at the top has been colored with Alcohol Inks.   The colors look a little off ...
