Macabre Monday #35: Walking Dead Divas

YES!!!!!!!! FINALLY! I get to play along with Macabre Monday again! The weeks have been flying by, and Barb has had some awesome challenges… and I SO wanted to play along… Alas, my time escaped me. The ideas were there, but the clock tick tocked too quickly for me… But not this time!!!

Here’s Barb’s challenge:

Ok, my little pretties... your challenge this week:

Walking Dead Divas

You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween page, project or card using images/sentiments of o-so-girly zombies!!  Blingy, pink, flowery (or not)... let's see those ladies of the day & night...

uh... I meant that in a totally non-hooker type of way ;)

Cool! Got it! Here’s what I created…

How cool is this chick??? She’s from Stamp It Crazy, and I love her. She reminds me a lot of my sisters and I… her hair, her clothes, ok… not her skin so much, but get the idea. Here’s a closeup:

I used colored pencils and some various Sakura markers to color this diva in. The “Princess” is made from a (gasp!) Martha Stewart alpha set, and I effin’ love it! Goes purrrfectly with her Goopy punch that I delight in using. The tiaras are from Gel-A-Tins.

I hope you can see it… I used the same Glitter marker in the jewels of the crown as I did in my little Zombie Princess’ eyes. Click on any of the images to make it bigger.

I feel so happy now… I hated not playing along with Haunted Design House… I really need to carve out some more time…but I have yet to figure out how! Now go! Go and concoct a gruesome design too! Have a fang-tastic day!!!

Christmas in July with Imagine Crafts & Stencil Girl!

Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! The teams are hopping for 3 consecutive Saturdays, and this is week 2. I have the entire list of hop links at the bottom of the post. Be sure you don't miss anyone! I decided to to create an extra large gift tag with my new stencils. Using red cardstock, I taped down the Journal Texture #8 Stencil  and inked it up with Golden Glitz Delicata ink . I promise you, this is the BEST gold ink you will ever use! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it's a 4x4" stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again. Next I wanted to do something textural with the Urban Insiders Star . So I took some evergreen cardstock, taped down the star, and slathered on some yummy Iridescent Green Creative Medium . After the medium dried, I ga

Deco Art and Andy Skinner Hop

This is a very exciting week for the Stampendous team! We are hanging out with the ultra cool Deco Art Mixed Media team, each using each other's products to share some incredible creations with you. These companies go hand in hand, so using each other's products is easy. And the results are amazing. We are of course featuring Andy Skinner's stamps, who is the DecoArt International Education Coordinator.  And yup, there are prizes! But I want you to go to the Stampendous Blog for all of that info. The link is at the bottom of the post. Now, on to my project. I made a cool wall hanging today. I started off with a piece of MDF and I drilled 2 holes, and covered it with DecoArt's white Gesso. After it dried, I used Andy's Alcohol and Media fluid Acrylics Layering Technique. You can check out his how-to video HERE . Needless to say, it's a great technique, and I loved doing it. Once I finished with the aforementioned technique, I sealed the piece w

Our Favorites: ADfD Blog Hop

***Sorry for the late posting....Blogger doesn't always play nice! Today is the first day of our  ADFD Blog Hop  - a celebration of all of the beautiful images Tammy has created over the years. As a special surprise for Tammy, we have a combination of current and former DT members participating in the hop. Her inspiring art and generous heart have touched us all. We want to take a moment to show our gratitude and thank Tammy for the blessings and joys we have received as members of the ADFD DT. Our theme is “A Collection of ADFD Favorites” - so each DT member’s blog you visit will share something she has created with one of her favorite ADFD images.  The hop has   hidden prizes  - a commenter from each hidden prize stop will win a choice of one image from the ADFD Shop ! You won’t know where the prizes are hidden, so be sure to leave a comment at each stop of the Hop!  Our Blog Hop will run from 7:00 a.m. eastern standard time on Saturday, February 25, 2017 until 9:00 p.m. eas
