Red and Pink with Dilly Beans

Hello Dilly Beaners ! Today, I have a new challenge to share with you. Red and Pink! I have a new art journal page to share with you to go with this color combo. I worked with one of Megan's creep-tastic zombie girls. She is colored entirely with Spectrum Noirs and Copics. I love her green skin. The background has a bunch of layers of inks, stamps, and a cut out sentiment from Dilly Beans. She looks how I sometimes feel in the morning! Or after a long day. Or, right now, actually! I hope you will join us for this challenge. You could win some Dilly Beans digis for yourself! Please visit the Challenge Blog for the rules and to see what the rest of the fabulous DT has created. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

If I Were a Zombie...I'd Eat You Most!

We have a new challenge at the Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls Blog! The challenge this time around is: "If I were a Zombie, I'd eat you most." Basically, make something lovey dovey, but zombified! And there are plenty of interpretations for this one! Here's what I came up with. I used this sexy zombie from Simply B Stamps , and the quote that inspired this challenge. Isn't she fabulous? I used watercolor markers and Copics to color her, plus 2 Distress Inks to, well, distress my edges. Plus a few drips of Candy Apple Red Glimmer Mist. I do hope you will play along with this challenge. You have 2 weeks to do so. And you can make anything you want! But first, hop over to the Dolls' Blog to see what the rest of the crew has come up with. By the way, yes...I know today is May 1st, and I should have a DICC project up. I just ran out of time! I will have something up tomorrow...as long as my day doesn't get too twisted!  Thanks for stopping by. Have...

Brains, Brains, Candy Canes!

Hello, hello! I have a new Teen Christmas Zombie to share with you from Simply Betty Stamps . Say hello to Peppermint Brooke! I colored her with my watercolor markers...a lot of them! I layered the heck out of her. Plus I used 2 of my 4 Copics. ;) Her skin took me a while, becuase I was trying to get her decaying flesh just right. I used E40, plus a muted mossy green, and a tan. I used some Distress Inks around the edge of the image. I sponged on Antique Linen, Gathered Twigs and Peeled Paint. Nice and icky looking! I used a couple of random scraps a button, some fibers and a ticket to finish off the card. Plus my sentiment, which I made using a Just Rite alphabet stamp. Tomorrow I will have another Christmas Teen Zombie to share with you, as well as a new Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls challenge. Be sure to hop over to the Simply Betty Stamps Blog to see what the rest of the DT has made. By the way, thank you so much for all of the kind words you left for Rhiannon the other d...

Simply Betty and Smeared & Smudged Zombie Blog Hop!

There is a very special blog hop today! Simply Betty is one of our fabulous sponsors over at Smeared & Smudged this month. And Betty was kind enough to offer the DT a zombie digi for each of us. And the best way to show off her awesome digis, and out talent, is with one fabulous hop! We’ve even got some of Simply Betty’s rad DT with us today! So let’s get this party started, huh? I chose to work with Zombie Christian. Did you see my Summer Zombie Christian card from the other day? You can view it in this post HERE . I think Christian is awesome, and I hafta say…I had a BLAST making this card! I paired his image with the Build a Zombie alphabet from Smeared Ink . I wasn’t sure how I wanted to color him…this is actually the second version. The first had bolder colors, and I just wasn’t feelin’ it at the time. So I went with a more muted palate and I think it worked out great! I used my watercolor markers for Christian and the “Leg.” isn’t this a hilarious image? I came up with t...
