Seeing Red with Wicked Wednesday

Hello! We on the Wicked Wednesday team are "Seeing Red" this week...and not just for Valentine's Day. We are sponsored by Lemon Shortbread this week. I used Goth Fairy Witch . I colored her with my Tombow Dual Brush Markers. I created a mix of various red, gold and black embossing powders and glass glitters from Stampendous for the corners of the image. I added some ribbon, and I inked the edges of my red ATC base. Thanks to Lemon Shortbread for being a great sponsor for Wicked Wednesday again! Please be sure to visit the rest of the WW team over on the blog . Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

I’m Finally Making Christmas Cards!

So it’s December 3rd and I am as of yesterday just starting my Holiday cards. I’m not making cards for everyone though, so the folks that are getting the pre-fabbed ones are already out in the mail… so that’s something right??? Today I thought I’d share with you one style that I came up with yesterday. It features one of my fave holiday stamps. A gorgeous pine tree. I love trees. All trees. I have several tree stamps. But this time, I used nonconventional colors and Stickles! Yum! It’s a simplistic design, but I thought they came out really pretty. The one thing I struggled with was how to end the ribbon. Do I make a slot in the card and tie it? Do I just cut it at the end of the card? This is what I came up with… I thought these epoxy stickers I had laying around added a sweet and unexpected touch! They are from JoAnns, th...

My Anniversary Gift to Gene

I had pondered for quite some time trying to figure out what in the world to make Gene for our Anniversary. I even started a thread with my beloved Twi-Girls about it! They were such a huge help! Now, I am armed with some really great gift ideas! But, I decided in the end to make him a layout from our Wedding. I used two of my favorite pictures. Gene and I had a Handfasting Ceremony. Know the phrase “tying the knot?” Well, this is where it comes from! See how our hands are bound? Click on the photo to make it bigger! It symbolizes the union of two people. It is supposed to remain tied forever. Our knot is now in a shadowbox with our Wedding certificate. So that’s where the title comes from. The other photo of us I love too. It’s just pretty and romantic. Plus, I have on my gorgeous cape! These ribbons are actually from the Wedding! I had some leftover (ok, a lot leftover!) from the bouquets that we made (yup, my Mom and I made ALL of the flower arrangements!), so I thought it would...
