21st Century Pillow Book

What a great day! Actually, this is going to be a great week… but more about that another time. Today is the first time I get to introduce you to Twilight Tuesday’s newest Challenge! A scrapbooking challenge! Now, you should probably know by now that scrapbooking holds a special place in my heart, so I am super excited to be bringing you a new scrapbook challenge every other Monday! How awesome is that? Here’s my challenge to you: Welcome to the first Twilight Tuesday Scrapbooking Challenge! I am so excited about these new challenges. Every other Monday, I will be giving you a new topic. This topic will be taken from the pages of the wonderful Twilight Saga, and then I will reinterpret it to fit into our “real” lives! Next, YOU get to make a scrapbook page(s) about the topic! We want to know about you and your life! But, you can of course, make it about the books/movies as well! It’s up to you! We want you to have fun!!! Sunday was finally my Baby Girl’s Blessing Ceremony. It was pure magick. Several of you have been asking how it went, so I wanted to share some photos with you. I wanted to get them up sooner, but the photos taken with my camera didn’t come out so good, so I wanted to see my sister’s photos. Over the weekend, I’ll be getting some others from my Aunt, so I should have a nice collection soon. Maybe I’ll be able to put together a mini album! If I ever find time… :} The lighting in this room was weird, everyone seemed to have a tough time photographing it correctly. But here we are, the happy foursome! This is as the Godparents (my sis Pam, and my cousin Zac) were about to do their readings. Our Minister (Priestess) April, not only did Phoenix’s Blessing, but she also preformed our Wedding Ceremony! She is getting anointed with oils. We had a “Clay Ceremony” in which the 4 of us imprinted our thumb prints into clay as a gift for Rhiannon. April is holding the disk of clay out to me. ...

My daughter is a very lucky girl. She is fortunate to not only have her grandmother living right next door, but her great-grandmother living just 1 mile away. It's not too often that you can have 4 generations in one photo! We ladies were all together at my store the other day, and I had enough sense about me to have my sister Pam take a picture of us. Surprisingly enough, my mom agreed with NO hesitation! And for those of you who know my mom, that's quite a big deal!!! So this is the picture. I think it's awesome. Grandma-ma, Nana, Me, and Rhi. 4 generations of strong, smart women. It's a beautiful thing.
