Unique Pets with Wicked Wednesday

Hello! It's time for a new Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge. This week, the theme is "Unique Pets," and we are sponsored by Ppinky Dolls . How would you like to have a unicorn as a pet? Personally, I'd rather have it as a friend, instead of a pet...but I sure would love to know one!I used my Tombow Dual Brush markers to color this image in. I used some ombre washi tape in the background. I love the theme for this week, and I hope you do too. Please be sure to visit the res of the WW gals over on the blog , to see what they've created. I'll be back tomorrow with a surprise! Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Twilight Tuesday Farewell Blog Hop

The end is here. This is the Twilight Tuesday Farewell Blog Hop. And I can honestly say that I never thought I could have so much fun with people that I have never met! But before I start getting all mushy on you, let me share what Rebecca wrote on the TTIC Blog: Hey everyone! It’s Rebecca , bringing you something special for our last Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge. For this event, we’re doing a DT blog hop. Our challenge theme???? ” Love of books, the printed words on a page” since that is what brought us all together. I love to read the newspaper online but nothing beats a printed newspaper on Sunday mornings. And no matter how hard I try, I can’t abandon books (hardcover, softcover, or paperback) to a digital reader. Are you totally digital or do you prefer a good old fashioned printed page in your hands?” Creative portion: Create a project that uses printed text: a page from a magazine, book, dictionary, etc. within your project, as the background or focal point. The hop...

Twilight Tuesday Anniversary Blog Hop

Happy Anniversary to Twilight Tuesday ! I have been actively participating in the Twilight Tuesday Challenges since challenge #24: Carlisle Cullen. That was before I even had a blog!!! Well, for this very special week, we are doing a huge blog hop, filled with wonderful cards, layouts, and surprises! Make sure you show some love to all of the participants! The hop will start and end at Twilight Tuesday . If you’re already on the hop, you should have come from Dani’s blog. For the hop I decided to revisit one of my favorite challenges, #29, BFF’s Jacob and Bella. We were to make a project celebrating our best friend (or Jake and Bella’s relationship). I made a layout that I have wanted to make for quite some time now. I’ve had the pictures printed and everything… well, I finally got to make it! It’s not a crazy layout like I sometimes make… I didn’t spend hours pondering what the heck I was gonna do with it… I wanted to focus on the photos… and it just kinda fell in to place. Dontcha...

Diana’s Necklace

Diana is my family’s “adopted” sister. She lives 5 houses away from us (4 from me actually), she was born 1 week after my middle sister Pam, and the 2 have been best friends practically since then. She is one of us. The closest thing to being a sister without actually being one. I usually give her gifts from The Pyramid Collection catalog, because of their unique qualities, their bit o’ magic and their pure coolness factor. But this time, I decided to make her a gift. I had shown you these crystals in a post a week or so ago in a necklace that I had made for Julie. I had shown these crystals to Diana many moons ago when I had first bought them, and she loved them. I had wanted to make her something with them since then… but just never sat down to do it. Then I misplaced them.. and so on and so forth… But, I finally made it for her and I am happy to say that she loves it. Her birthday is in August, hence the peridot colored beads. I used orange beads as well, because I liked the contr...

TTIC #30: Best Friends

This week's Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge is about the relationship between Bella and Jacob, and how they're best friends. I am very fortunate to have 2 Best Friends, other than my sisters and husband. My Best Friends are Lisa and Terry. Sorry Lisa, but this time I'm gonna talk about Terry. Terry an I have been friends for... over 10 years. I lost track. We met at work. And, although she was afraid of me at first (a manager dressed in goth could be a bit intimidating I suppose!), we soon hit it off. We've been through a bunch of crap together, but she has always stuck by me, when no one else would. One of my favorite things about Terry is that we can be total dorks together... which we do often. The things we have in common are so... I don't know... campy, I guess... our relationship could be viewed as silly, but it's much deeper than that. I could talk to her about basically everything, and she knows that she could do the same. We're always brutal...
