Day 31 of 31: Happy Halloween!!!

Holy crow! It's officially Halloween! I don't know about you, but I am exhausted! This month really sucked the life right out of me...mwahahahahaaaaaa............ Today, for my last post for the 2016 31 Days of Halloween, I have 1 final 6x6 Mini Page to share with you. To me, and I am sure to many of you...Halloween isn't just about bats, black cats, and Jack O' Lanterns. And while of course those things are fun and fabulous....Halloween means more to me. The thinned veil, the time for witches and fae to dance around a fire, etc. So although this Saturated Canary image isn't obviously Halloween, it speaks to me in a Halloweeny sort of way. Do you see it too? I used my Zig Clean Color markers to color in Nymphlytte. I really like how she turned out. My sentiment is from Hero Arts ' Dreams are Made set. My background was made with Imagine 's Bronze Creative Medium and Stampendous ' Filagree Metal Stencil . Around the border, I used some of Stampe...

Day 29 of 31: I'm Bewitched!

Greetings Bloggy Friends! It's Day 29 of the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween. It's also my 11 Year Anniversary! So I love this day. I also have one of my favorite projects that I've made all month to share with you. A few weeks ago I won Zombie and Her Kitty from Saturated Canary , and I was so excited to color her up. She was a blast! I colored her using the Indirect Coloring technique with my Tombow markers. I know I have been yapping about this technique a whole lot this month, but the effect is just great, and it's fun to do! I colored her to look as though she was morphing. After I colored her, I used a Spellbinders die to cut her out, and then I heat embossed the edges with Aged Copper Embossing Powder (from the Bronze Encrusted Jewels Kit ), and I added some sparkle with  Mahogany and Burgundy glitter  right on top of the embossing powder before I heated it.. These 3 things are of course from Stampendous . My background was done with th...

Crazy for Coffee with Wicked Wednesday

Happy Wednesday! I have a new Wicked Wednesday challenge for you...it's Crazy for Coffee. I think many of us get that, right? I have a cup of coffee every afternoon, usually between 2 and 3. Do you drink a lot of coffee? I decided to go with Latte from Saturated Canary for my ATC. I colored Latte with my colored pencils. I used bright, happy colors because I am SO over the dull drab look of Winter. And the chevron print gives it a bit of punch too. Who's up for sharing the coffee love? Then play along! Visit the Wicked Wednesday blog to see some more fun projects. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

12 Days of Creepmas: Day 1 and DICC

Happy December 1st! I can hardly believe it is the last month of the year. Today officially marks Day 1 of the Smeared & Smudged 12 Days of Creepmas. Hopefully, you already know what that is.But if for some crazy reason you don't, please visit Terra's Blog to get the full run down. Also, since it's the 1st of the month, I have a new Desert Islands Crafters Challenge to share with you. This time, we are sponsored by Saturated Canary. I'm warning you, Creepmas fans...this was is gonna be cah-yute!!! ;) But first, my Creepmas card. I used Noelle from Stampotique for this card. And look! I made a single layer card! And it's (fairly) clean and simple! 2 things I don't usually do. I did a rough coloring job on Noelle, to go with the style she was drawn in. Plus, since there is so little negative space, I thought that coloring outside the lines would be good so that more color would show. I did my border with a stencil and Distress Inks. My sentiment...
