Wicked Rhiannon: Day 18 of 31 Days of Halloween

Ok. This is officially one of my favorite things that I have made for the 31 Days of Halloween so far! It may be one of my favorite things that I have done in a while…I hope you love it too! So our family of 4 went to Salem, Mass. last month. My husband and I used to go every year…but then the kidlings came, and our trips were no more. But we decided that we just had to go back this year. We couldn’t take it anymore. We love it there so much, we couldn’t stand to be away any longer. One of my favorite places to visit in Salem is the Charter Street Cemetery. It’s right next to the Witch Trials Memorial and it’s the cemetery that has “my” beloved tree. You may have seen a layout with this tree before… Actually, I posted about it one year ago! Click HERE to see that post. But I digress… This cemetery fascinates me. I just feel so at ease there. I can’t really explain it… Anyway, I started snapping pics of the kidlings while we traipsed about, and this is my favorite one that I took that ...

The Tree

I tried. I really did. I tried so hard. All I wanted to do was make one card for the latest Color Throwdown . But, my daughter just wouldn’t have it. No way. She was pretty unhappy today. I have no idea why. She just cried and cried. She’s not sick or anything… So, my card never got made. But, that’s why I am so glad I decided to post some of my “pre-blog” stuff up. Here is one of my all-time favorite layouts. And, it goes right along with the “Quiet” layout I posted the other day. Please click on my photos to see them bigger. There is actually a lot going on in this layout. Let’s start with the photo itself. You really need to see this one blown up… Why? Because I am IN this tree! It’s hard to tell with the photo being so small. This is the same cemetery I wrote about the other day. It’s in Salem, Mass. I love this tree. If I could take it home and keep it forever I would. It’s so majestic, old and beautiful. Yes, I am a Tree-Hugger! I sit in this tree for so long whenever we visit...

Simple and Quiet

Being that Blogging is still fairly new for me, I have made many layouts and cards and things that were created way before my little blog ever existed. And I want you to see them! Ok, maybe not ALL of them, but some. I’ve got a few faves that I thought I would share with you when I didn’t have a new project to share. This is one from one of my many trips to Salem, Mass. It takes place in one of the graveyards there. No, I don’t normally hang out in graveyards, but there is just something about this one that I love. Maybe it’s the Salem Witch Trail history that lies there. Maybe it’s that insanely beautiful Oak tree that I make sure I climb when I’m there. I don’t know, but it’s one of my favorite places to be while visiting Salem. Looking at this layout makes me wish I was there right now… Click on the image to see it bigger. This is by far one of my “simplest” layouts. Not a whole lot going on as far as different papers and embellishments. I wanted the photo to speak for itself. And...
