Taurus with Wicked Wednesday and Flowerful with Bombshell

Greetings! Today I have a new Wicked Wednesday ATC and a new card with Bombshell Stamps . This week at WW, we are sponsored by Delicious Doodles, and the theme is Taurus. Here's what I made. Have you seen the 80's movie Legend? It's one of my top 3 favorite movies of all time. I immediately thought of Tim Curry's character, the Lord of Darkness, hence the red skin and black horns. The glare is terrible on this photo. Sorry about that. She is colored with Spectrum Noir and Copic markers.  Now, on to Bombshell. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough people sign up for today's scheduled Hump Day Hop. But, I (and some of the other girls) wanted to share our projects anyway. The theme was supposed to be Flowerful. Here's what I made. I used Rose's Portrait and Girl's Ruin (for the banner) for my card. Again, these images are colored with Spectrum Noir and Copic markers. I hope that we run the Hump Day Hop next month. Please sign up if yo...

January Muse Monday: Rose's Portrait

Greetings! It's the first Monday of the month, so that means I get to share the latest Bombshell Stamps Muse Monday set with you. I chose to highlight Rose's Portrait this time around. I decided to make a tile. I haven't made one lately, and this set lends it so well to the 4x4 square that I use. I stamped my images on tissue paper, and very carefully colored them with alcohol markers.I think Rose looks so pretty with bright green eyes.                                          Then I just layer up the tile and images with Mod Podge and a sealer by Krylon. I also added a hook to the back to so it can be hung on the wall. The Rose's Portrait set will be on sale for the entire month of January! SO if you don't own it yet, this is definitely the time to get it. Please be sure to visit the Bombshell Blog each Monday for lots of wonderful projects featuring this set. ...

Happy Birthday Shannon! From, The Bombshells

Hello! Welcome to Shannon's surprise birthday hop! Shannon is the Queen Bombshells and owns http://www. bombshellstamps.com/ "> Bombshell Stamps . Today is her birthday, so some past and present Bombshell Girls and Pin-Ups got together to hold a huge Blog Hop in her honor. I decided to try something a little different, and use very little color. I used the focal image from Rose's Portrait , the large rose from Love and Luck , and the Happy Birthday Banner inside the card from Banner Sayings . The bit of red on Rose was done with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and a Cut-N-Dry nib. Simple, but pretty. Shannon, I hope you have an amazing birthday! We love ya! Below is the entire Birthday Hop List. Enjoy!!! November Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop!

Hello out there in Bloggyland! It's the last Wednesday of the month, so it's time for the Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop! This month, snce so many of us have been busying ourselves in the kitchen with Thanksgiving (at least, here in the USA), I decided to give us a recipe challenge. It's pretty simple. 3 Patterned Papers 2 Bombshell Stamps 1 Piece of Ribbon Simple right? Here's what I came up with, using Rose's Portrait. I really love this image. It's so easy to make things look pretty with her. I used watercolor markers, Spectrum Noirs, and Copics to color her in. Here's a close up. I used some pop dots on the extra rose. And how fabulous is that mesh ribbon?! I found it in the Christmas dept. at Michaels. So you have 14 glorious stops in this hop, so I suggest you get going! Please make sure you leave a little love for everyone! Thank you so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day! Bombshell Blog:  http://bombshellstamps.blogspot.c...

Thank You Card

It’s a beautiful day on Long Island! No humidity, the sun is shining, and my husband took the day off from work…so I am going to make this short and sweet! I recently got a couple of new (to me) sets from Bombshell Stamps . Two of them are Rose’s Portrait and Banner Sayings . I used both of these to make the card I am sharing with you today. I used my “triple threat” mix of colored pencils, watercolor markers and Copics to color my focal image in. My kids love this set. They have asked me to stamp it out for them, so they can color it too. I think part of the reason is because her name is Rose, like their late grandmother.  I am looking forward to coloring her in a lot of different ways. I can see so many options for her makeup! I used a stencil from The Crafter’s Workshop for my background. Colored with Distress Inks. It’s a simple card, but it’s pretty. That lovely portrait has such an impact, that you don’t need a lot of “fluff.” That’s all for today! I am goi...
