Getting Ready for Halloween with Wicked Wednesday

Hello! We are Getting Ready for Halloween over at Wicked Wednesday . That's our theme this week, and we are sponsored by MMedel Illustrations . I used 2 of their images, and they're both adorable! I colored the images with my Tombow Dual Brush Markers. I fussy cut them out and added them to a spiderweb background. I added some super fun, chunky and uber sparkly Frantage from Stampendous in the corners. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Wednesday team over on the blog. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Vintage Bird Clock with ADfD

It's "time" for me to share another A Day for Daisies project with you. This week, I used Vintage Bird Clock . We are also at the halfway mark for our current challenge, which is to CASE (copy and steal everything) the Design Team. I decided to make an ATC with the clock. I colored the digi with my Tombow Dual Brush markers. I made a loose fussy cut around it. On my blue background, I sprinkled some Seasonings and Aged Green Embossing Powders from Stampendous . It gets heated from underneath, since I didn't use any embossing ink to hold the powder in place. I inked the edges of the ATC with Cocoa Brown Memento Ink. Please be sure to visit the rest of the A Day for Daisies team over on the Blog . Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Day 23 of 31: Another Two-fer!

Greetings! Today is another day that I will have 2 projects to share with you. But this time, they are both Halloween. It is the 23rd of the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween. I have a project for A Day for Daises and one for Left of Center . This week for A Day for Daises, we are challenging you to "Make a Treat Item." I decorated a simple brown paper bag for my project. I colored the Pumpkin Head Friends  using my Tombow watercolor markers, and the Indirect Coloring technique. Then I used a couple of fun embossing folders for my background paper, and I inked them up. The candy corn has a chalk ink from Color Box, and the argyle has Gold Delicata ink from Imagine Crafts. For Left of Center this week, we are sponsored by Limited Runs, and the theme is, "Use Your Skull." I made an ATC using the Deadly Cupcake digi. I colored it with my recycled pencils from Tombow. I also sprayed my orange cardstock with some purple Dylusions spray. Then, I...

Day 4 of 31 Days: Crowscape

Happy Day 4 of the Smeared Ink 31 Days of Halloween! Today I have a quickie card, that has a bit of cool creep factor to it. I started off the the Crowscape Stamp from Stampendous , and I stamped it with StazOn on to vellum. I tore all 4 edges to give it a more ragged look. Then, I took my card base and I used Aged Silver embossing enamel from the Silver Frantage Encrusted Jewel Kit  along the edges. Can you tell I am obsessed with these kits and this effect? You've got to get at least one to try them out! They are so much fun. This card took me about 10 minutes to make, which is fast! Sometimes you just need to bang out a quick card, and I'm really happy with how this one turned out. So for now I bid you adieu. Please be sure to check out the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, all listed in my side bar. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creeptastic day!

Day 2 of 31 with A Day for Daisies

Greetings fellow Halloween fanatics! Welcome to Day 2 of the Smeared Ink 31 Days of Halloween! Today I have a project using A Day for Daisies . I am on their Design Team, and Friday is the day we always share our challenges, club kits, etc. This time around I am sharing the October Club Kit, and I'm featuring Little Witch Mermaid. Like yesterday, I colored this image with my Tombow watercolor markers. But I used a very different technique. Yesterday, I colored with the markers directly on to my paper. Today, I colored up an acrylic block (one you'd use for your clear stamps) with the markers and then I applied them with a brush and a little water. I worked in sections with this technique so that the pigment wouldn't dry on the block before I used it. Though I will say that it stays wet for a while. I used 3-4 colors for each section. Applying them this way is a lot of fun. It takes longer than the direct-to-paper method, but you get a true watercolored look when yo...

September Club Kit with A Day for Daisies

It's time for the A Day for Daisies team to start showcasing the beautiful September Club Kit. For my project, I worked with Fairy Dandelion Portrait. I watercolored this lovely fairy and kept the image's background fairly simple. A little Frantage Encrusted Jewel Kit in Pink from Stampendous in 2 of the corners was all it really needed. I used a simple "Believe" stamp and then I started to work on my card base. I used the Damask Dreamweaver Stencil and some green ink, which was applied with a stencil brush. That's it! The fairy really needed to speak for herself...so I didn't want to go overboard. I'll have another new fairy to share with you next week, as well as a new ADfD challenge. Please be sure to visit the A Day for Daisies Blog to see what the rest of the team has created. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
