Pink Your Life Finale!

Welcome! Today is the final day for the Stampendous and Pink Your Life Blog Hop. I hope you have enjoyed all of the projects shared this week. Be sure to visit the Stampendous Blog to get all of the info on the hops for today, as well as the awesome prizes that are up for grabs. Today, I have a card that uses a couple of sets, but features Whisper Princess . I decided to color the Princess with Copics. Something I don't use very often, because I only have literally 35 colors, and about half are dried out. But, I had enough colors that coordinated to get her colored in. I then fussy cut her out. My background was done directly on the card base, which, looking back I shouldn't have done. The card base is too flimsy, and it warped. I stamped all of the images out with VersaFine from Imagine. Then I colored all of the elements in with Faber-Castell's Art Grip Aquarelle pencils. Since they're watercolor pencils, the water warped the card. I was really just playi...

It's October!!!! My absolute favorite month of the year! I am SO happy that it is finally here. Today is huge, for so many reasons. I have a new Desert Islands Crafters Challenge to share with you, the new term with Bombshell Stamps is starting, and...the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween has started! Holy crow! That's a whole lotta stuff. Let's start with the itinerary for DICC, which is also my project for today's 31 Days project. DICC Itinerary: Sponsored by Floppy Latte, created by Jenn   1. Candles 2. Silver or Gold I chose to use this fabulous silhouette of an owl and a full moon by Floppy Latte. The itinerary numbers I used were 2, 3, 5, 7 (I promise it's purple and not blue!), 9, and 10. I colored the moon with 3 colors of Copics. I inked the...

Macabre Monday 138: Eerie Elegance

It has been what feels like forever since I have had a chance to play with Haunted Design House . This week, the Macabre Monday challenge is Eerie Elegance . And I just knew I needed to use a Simply B Stamps image for it. But there are so many to choose from!!! I eventually decided to go with The Alchemist's Wife Nightmares . Seriously, how fabulous is this image? I used the Spotlight Technique to color my image, but with a bit of a twist. I printed the image twice, and cut out my spotlight from the colored version so that I could pop-dot it to the second. I used colored pencils, watercolor markers and Copics to color this in. I aged the background image with Antique Linen Distress Inks. I also used a cream colored card, instead of white, and I sprayed it with a coffee colored spray from Tsukineko. I recently became a Pampered Chef consultant (links on the side of my blog!). And I did pretty well my first month out, so I decided to give myself a little congratulatory gift...

The White Queen

Hello! Did you see that Simply B Stamps started previewing a new Alice collection yesterday? I will be joining in for 4 of the 6 images that are in this new line. And tonight is The White Queen. I love her teeny mouse! I used my colors very sparingly. I used some pale blues, pinks and turquoises in addition to her skin colors. I think she came out pretty! I stuck with icy colors for my paper choices and for the rhinestones, which I applied haphazardly on the card. Tomorrow morning, I will have a new Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls challenge to share with you! And then, tomorrow night, I will have the next of these new Alice Chibis to show you as well. It's going to be a busy week! Be sure to visit not only the SBS Blog , but also the BTBD Blog . Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

SBS Hop! Featuring Big Love Gun Lola

It’s finally release day! I am sure that many of you have been counting down to today so that you can snag the new Simply B Stamps Teen Scene Steampunk Valentine collection. I am really excited about today, because not only are we doing a blog hop, but it’s featuring my favorite image from this new collection! I’d like to introduce you to Big Love Gun Lola. She is just too damn cool, if you ask me! I’ve had her colored up for so long, I have been itching to share her with you. Lola is ready to defend her love for you. That’s why I used the words “huggable heroine” for my sentiment.   I colored her in using a mix of watercolor markers and Copics. I just love doing Lola’s hair. Especially this time around. Please click on any of my pictures to see them bigger. I used some more of the gears from the wonderful stash my Dad gave me so very long ago (I first mentioned this wonderful mix of goodies during the latest Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop . I attached them using Glossy Acc...

SBS Teen Scene Valentine Preview: Rio

Happy New Year! After taking a few days off from bloggyland, I am back and I am going to share a card made with one of the latest Simply B Stamps . This latest collection is the Teen Scene Valentine. And it’s all about love and steampunk! Which, you probably know I adore steampunk. What’s funny, is that my Mom is the one who told me about it a couple of years ago. She loves it even more than me, I think! But enough about me…here is “A Heart for You Rio.” I love her birdie friend! He is supposed to be a raven, but I thought that I needed some blue on the card. I colored the image with my watercolor markers and my Copics (I officially own a whopping 10 Copics now!). I added the gears in the background by using a Tim Holtz screen and Distress ink. I added a few rhinestones for some sparkle, and a couple of punched cogs. My sentiment is from K and Co. I’ll be back tomorrow with another sneaky peek from this sweet and funky new line. Be sure to visit the SBS Blog to see what the ...
