His + Hers = Ours

Hello! I have a card to share with you that I made using Sweet Stamp Shop. Let me start off by saying, no... I am not pregnant. I just made the card because the idea popped into my head and I thought it would be adorable. And kinda funny. I hope you think so too!

I managed to score a couple of fantastic Sweet sets on sale when a few of my faves were being retired. The sets are His and Hers, plus Just Icons. Sorry, no link for Just Icons, as those babies are
G-O-N-E.

I started off by stamping the undies on to Mixed Media paper from Stampendous with Onyx Black Memento ink and coloring the trim with Memento markers. The ink and markers are from Imagine Crafts. Then, I fussy cut them out and I die cut a Fitted Frame to fit the underwear. I glued them down, and stamped the plus and equals sign. I added some London Fog ink to the edge of the die cut.

I put that piece aside and cut a white mat to fit my light blue card base. Then, I sprayed the mat with a couple of colors of Glimmer Mist (pink and blue of course!) and let that dry. If you click on my picture above you'll see some of the shimmer from the sprays. While it was drying, I inked the edge of my card base with more London Fog ink, to match the die cut.

Then I stamped the words and hearts on my mat, which had since dried. I glued everything down, and voila! A cute little baby announcement. Seriously though, it's not for me. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Echo Park Blog Hop with Imagine

Greetings! This is my second post for the day. This one is not part of the 31 Days of Halloween, but rather a super-duper blog hop that the Artists in Residence for Imagine are doing with Echo Park . So if you're here for my Day 7 project, please check out the post HERE . But before you do that, scroll on to check out this one. There are prizes up for grabs, so be sure to check out the Imagine Blog as well as the Echo Park Blogs for details. I created my background by applying Dandelion and Tangelo Memento Ink to my brayer. Then I sprayed it with Ink Potion No. 9 to help the colors blend and to act as an extender to keep the inks wet longer. After I rolled the colors out on to watercolor paper and let it dry, I stamped the lovely doily-like image from Echo Park's Simply Sweet Stamp Set with Grape Jelly Memento. I also received the super pretty Heart Doily Designer Die  which I used with a true purple cardstock. But it needed something....and in rolls the super fabul...
