Left of Center with Dilly Beans

Hello! Did you know that I am now a part of Left of Center Creative Challenges ? I am! And I am stoked about it. This group focuses on dark-themed challenges, which is so up my alley. This challenge theme is Anything Goes, as long as it's dark/creepy/fantasy, etc. And, we are sponsored by Dilly Beans , which is another DT I am on. I used Dracula's Lollipop for this card. I colored the image with watercolor markers as well as alcohol markers. Yeesh. I don't know what happened to the color on this photo but he looks reeeeally yellow! Not the case in real life! Anywho, my little teeth in the lower right corner were made with a stamp from Inkadinkado and Shrinky Dinks. I thought they were perfect. Ahhhh....the color is good here. I kept the card clean and simple. I hope you like it! Please be sure to visit the rest of the "B" Team for LOC HERE . Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Quick and Cute with Dreamweaver!

In a flurry of a hurry? This month the Dream Team are all about the  Quick and Cute ...whether that be cards, gifts, wrapping, or tags...we have sleigh-loads of ideas! Play along by posting your creations using the Inlinkz tool on the  Dream It Up!   blog, for a chance to win the stencil of your choice, and a possible bonus stencil for using  Dreamweaver products  in your  Quick and Cute  project! Here's what fun I've been up to this week: I used the beautiful Quatrefoil stencil for my background. I inked it up with 2 shades of blue and a red, all from Imagine Crafts. Then, I pulled out my Nested Ornaments die set. Using my background as inspiration for my paper choices, I cut out 2 of the large ornaments and 1 of the small. I used the same paper for the ornament toppers to keep things a little cohesive.  I pieced the ornaments together and added a simple sentiment to my red ornament. Definitely a quick, simple and cute card!  I'...

Happy Holidays with Wicked Wednesday

Season's Greetings! Today I have a new Wicked Wednesday challenge to share with you. This week, we are sponsored by A Day for Daisies . I looooove this company, so it's always a joy when I get to work with one of their images. The theme this week is Happy Holidays. I'm using the super sweet Christmas Light Fairy . I love Christmas lights and fairies of all kinds, so this was the perfect image for me to use. I colored the image with watercolor markers. I gave the fairy a bit of a yellow glow where the bulb is touching her dress....I hope it doesn't come a cross as though the yellow bled. I added a teeny Noel stamp that I had, and a bit of sparkle. It IS a holiday challenge, right?! Please be sure to visit the Wicked Wednesday blog to check out what the rest of the gals created. Thanks for stopping by, Have an inspiring day!

The WW gals and I used City Star for our projects. I colored her with a combination of alcohol markers and watercolor markers. Then I used a couple of the Nesting Frames Die Cuts from Dreamweaver Stencils . Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Wednesday team, starting at the Challenge Blog. Thanks for stopping by. Thanks!

As we officially head into the holiday season, the Dream Team are challenging all of our followers to be especially "Thankful and Thoughtful" during the month of November. We hope that you will link your creations with this theme in mind on the Dream It Up! blog using the Inlinkz tool. Our "thanks" to you is providing you with the opportunity to win the stencil of your choice, and a bonus stencil of our choosing could be yours for using Dreamweaver product(s) in your artwork. I'm posting this for you today: I'll be honest, I hurt my hand pretty bad, so I had to put this project off until the last minute. And it's still bothering me, so I couldn't be too extreme with this project. I used the Maple Leaf  stencil along with the Gears stencil. First I inked up the leaf, and then the gears. After that, I heat embossed the leaf. I inked, sketched and striped around the leaf, and I also inked the base card to distress it a bit. I used a sheet...

Warm Winter Wishes

Greetings! It's time for a new Wicked Wednesday post! This week, we are sponsored by Time for Tea. The theme is Warm Winter Wishes. I went for a hippie kinda feel...I was channeling my inner Jenn B...our fearless leader! So I just HAD to have peace signs! I colored this cutie with a mix of watercolor markers and alcohol markers. Well, I injured my hand, so no more typing for me right now. I hope you play along with Wicked Wednesday ! Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

My Guest Spot with Aurora Wings!

Greetings! I am beyond thrilled to share this post with you today. I was asked by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff (owner and artist of Aurora Wings ) if I would be the Guest Designer for their latest challenge!!! I was so surprised and totally honored. Aurora Wings is absolutely one of my favorite stamp companies. There was no way I could say no. The challenge is "Anything Goes" so I hope everyone plays along! I created 5 (yes 5!) 6x6" mini pages showcasing some of her magical little Sprites. First up, is Aster. But, this is actually a Sunflower Sprite. I decided to change it up because, although I love sunflowers, the vibrant purple of asters are really magical. She is colored with watercolor markers, except for her skin which was done with Spectrum Noirs. All the skins on the Sprites are done with them. You may click on any of my photos to see them bigger. I will be making a mini album with all of these pages, and adding more as I color more of these sweeties. Fuschia...

Thanks with Dreamweaver

As we officially head into the holiday season, the Dream Team are challenging all of our followers to be especially "Thankful and Thoughtful" during the month of November. We hope that you will link your creations with this theme in mind on the Dream It Up! blog using the Inlinkz tool. Our "thanks" to you is providing you with the opportunity to win the stencil of your choice, and a bonus stencil of our choosing could be yours for using Dreamweaver product(s) in your artwork. I'm posting this for you today: I started off with the beautiful Pumpkins stencil, and I used the beautiful Molten Metal technique. I made sure to keep the front pumpkin a different color from the 2 back pumpkins, so that they would be distinct, and not blend together too much.  I used 6 colors of Metallic FX powders for this technique. As I looked through my stencils, I realized that I didn't have a "thank you" stencil! I'll need to get on that. But in the mean...

Skully Christmas with Wicked Wednesday

Greetings! I took a few days off from blogging after the fantastical 31 Days of Halloween. But now it's time to start sharing some fun projects again, and today I've got a Wicked Wednesday project. We are sponsored by Oddball Art, and the theme is Skully Christmas. I colored this cutie with my alcohol markers. Remeber, we only use ATC's at Wicked Wednesday, so this is only a 2.5x3.5" piece. I'm not quite ready for Christmas, so I decided to use colors other than red and green. And I think her outfit looks great in these colors! I did channel a little of the Christmas Spirit though with my sentiment. I wrote out, "All I want is you," as in the holiday song. Yeah, the song is stuck in my head now....yours too? Sorry! I hope you can see my black cardstock. It has a beautiful taffeta look to it. I thought it fancied my ATC up a bit. I hope you will join us this week! Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Wednesday team, and join us! Tha...

Madness: Day 31 of 31 Days of Halloween

Happy Halloween!!!!!! What a fang-tastic month! I haven't gotten to do much in the gory department, so I decided that today, I should end the month with a bang. I used Madness from Aurora Wings . Love this crazy fabulous image. I especially love the eyeballs in the grape bunches. I colored the image with alcohol markers and watercolor markers. I only used some ink for the main part of the card....I would never want to take away from this image. I am entering my card into the Aurora Wings' " All Gored Up " challenge. I hope you have all had as much fun as I did this month. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, all listed in my side bar. Thanks for stopping by. Have a fang-tastic Halloween!!!!!

Dreamweaver Extra Week of Posts: Day 30 of 31 Days of Halloween

Greetings! I have a super quick card to share today, using a Dilly Beans skull and Dreamweaver Stencils ' Nesting Frames. All month long, the Dream Team has been serving up all sorts of holiday goodness. Not just Halloween, but Thanksgiving and Christmas too. I of course, had to stick with Halloween. I colored her up with colored pencils, and used two of the Nesting Frames dies from Dreamweaver Stencils. Have you been keeping track with who has won this month over at Dreamweaver? Did you win? What stencil did you choose? Are you hooked??? How great is my base card? Scored a pack of them (with different designs) at Michaels. $2.99 for 40! I may need to get anther pack. My fab-u-lous velvet ribbon is from May Arts . That's about it for me today! Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, all listed in my side bar. Skull Charm: Day 29 of 31 Days of Halloween

Ack! It is SO close to the end! Today is Day 29 of the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween. Today I have a super quick pendant that I made, using one of the Tim Holtz stamps that I won from last year's 31 Days. I used this image once before this month, but it's so cool that I just had to use it again. Here's a photo of the stamp on my block, and the charm next to it. Yup...I used Shrinky Dinks! I LOVE using them, and it's been a couple of months since I have, so I thought this was a good time to break them out. Keep in mind, that since this stamp has writing, I'll only be able to wear it with the matte side showing. I like the look, though I prefer the glossy side. If you make these yourself, try to avoid using an image with writing. I stamped the image with Staz-On, and I used just 2 colored pencils. Super quick. Just for fun, here's how cool the glossy side is....it didn't flatten out perfectly, but I'm totally col with that. Please ...

Happy Halloween: Day 28 of 31 Days of Halloween

Hello there!I have a fun card to share with you today using the Aurora Wings image, " Happy Halloween ." I colored this cutie with a combo of alcohol markers and watercolor markers. I made it for the Aurora Wings challenge of creating a project using Halloween colors. He's got quite a lot of candy in that Jack O Lantern! I used some fun papers from DCWV and Core'dinations. My 2 oval Long Oval Nesting Dies are from Dreamweaver Stencils . I also used some orange Stickles to add a bit of sparkle. Thanks for checking out my project today! Ravens Waiting: Day 27 of 31 Days of Halloween

Hello! It's time for Day 27 of the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween. Where has this month gone??? Today I made a project for the latest challenge from A Day for Daisies . The theme is Anything Halloween , and  used their Ravens Waiting digi. I LOVE this company. It's certainly one of my favorites. Isn't this a fantastic image??? I colored the image itself with Spectrum Noir markers, and the background was done with watercolors. You don't need many colors for this image...but I look forward to experimenting a bit with it with some unusual colors. I used my favorite punch (Drippy Goo), and 2 dies from Dreamweaver Stencils, called Nesting Frames.  My sentiment is from Smeared Ink 's Quoth the Raven set. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Bloggers, all listed in my sidebar. Thanks for stopping by. Have a creep-tastic day!

Eye See You: Day 26 of 31 Days

We are SO close to the end of the Smeared & Smudged 31 Days of Halloween. I have so many more projects that I want to make, and very few days left to make/showcase them. Well, with all of the chaos of the month, I didn't post my latest card for the Dilly Beans challenge. Thankfully, my project has been doe for a while, so it is on the Dilly Beans Blog. The newest challenge is to make a round card or use lots of circles. I went with the latter. I always use this fantastic eyeball for the 31 Days. It's too cool to leave out. It's from Inkadinkado, and it's one of my favorite stamps. I paired it up with one of Megan's fantastic Big Eye Girls, and I colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers. I love coloring these Big Eye Girls. Playing with colors and shadows is so fun with them. I used a sentiment also from Inkadinkado, and irRESISTables spray from Imagine Crafts. It's glossy and has a great texture to it. Love that stuff! I hope you'll play al...
