The Red Queen

Good evening! I am definitely happy this day is almost over. If you've read my previous post, you'd understand why. It's time for another preview from the new Simply B Stamps Alice Chibis collection. Tonight, we are sharing the Red Queen with you. I knew I needed to use this image because she is holding one of her croquet "hammers." A flamingo! As I am pretty nuts about flamingos, this was a Chibi I had to color up.

I made an ATC for my Red Queen. I tried coloring her her in a new way, and I'm still not sure if I like it or not. I think the idea is good...but I may not have done it well enough. I do like her eye makeup though! I have worn mine like this many a time.

How cute is that little hedgehog? I just wanna pick him up and give him a hug! That mean Red Queen! Someone should use her as a tennis racket! The "play" is from Smeared Ink, by the way.
I'd love to chat more, but I am wiped out. This has been a very long day, and I need to rest. But have no fear! I will be back again tomorrow evening with another image from this collection. Meanwhile, why not visit the rest of the SBS gals, and see what they've been up to? Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Echo Park Blog Hop with Imagine

Greetings! This is my second post for the day. This one is not part of the 31 Days of Halloween, but rather a super-duper blog hop that the Artists in Residence for Imagine are doing with Echo Park . So if you're here for my Day 7 project, please check out the post HERE . But before you do that, scroll on to check out this one. There are prizes up for grabs, so be sure to check out the Imagine Blog as well as the Echo Park Blogs for details. I created my background by applying Dandelion and Tangelo Memento Ink to my brayer. Then I sprayed it with Ink Potion No. 9 to help the colors blend and to act as an extender to keep the inks wet longer. After I rolled the colors out on to watercolor paper and let it dry, I stamped the lovely doily-like image from Echo Park's Simply Sweet Stamp Set with Grape Jelly Memento. I also received the super pretty Heart Doily Designer Die  which I used with a true purple cardstock. But it needed something....and in rolls the super fabul...

Mediterranean Dreams Shaker

Hello! Today I have a card that features the Mediterranean Dreams Subscription Kit from White Rose Crafts.  This fabulous Subscription Kit brings together sparkling, azure Mediterranean seas, sun-bleached shores and the rich colors of vibrant Mediterranean cultures in a carefully curated kit. I knew I just had to try the Jillibean Soup shaker card and I chose to use one of the stamps (from Kaisercraft) to make my background. I stamped the seashell with Tea Dye Distress Oxide all over the background of the card. Then I applied some Walnut Stain Distress Oxide to my craft mat, spritzed it with some water, and splattered it on to my card base. Last, I inked the edges with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide with a Mini Blending Brush. For my sentiment, I die cut a stitched rectangle from my stash, out of the pearly yellow cardstock that came in the kit and stamped it with "Wish You Were Here" stamp from the same "Summer Splash" stamp set, with StazOn Pigment ink. And ...
