A Pillow Book is a diary of sorts. It doesn't just talk about the day's events, but contains lists, observations, conversations, musings, anything the writer feels like writing about really. 21st Century is because this is a modern pillow book, since it's done on a computer.

So last week on TTIC, the question was asked if reading Twilight has gotten you into reading (again). I added my 2 cents to the inquiry and then resumed reading Betrayed from the House of Night Series by PC Cast and Kristen Cast. More about these books another time... Anywho, I was reading a bit this morning, as I was nursing The Girl (as we affectionately call Rhiannon), and I was reading about a girl in the book (I'm now up to Haunted) who writes poetry. I thought, "Hmmm, I haven't written a poem in, like, years." And put it out of my head. Shortly thereafter, I was eating my delicious Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal (mmmmmmmmm...) and pop! A poem bubbled up from wherever my creative thoughts come from. It's about rediscovering my love of reading. Enjoy!
I turn the pages -awakened. I lose myself -elated. I longed for this -forgotten. I turn again -revived.
The Stampendous team is showcasing the fabulous stamps and stencils from Nathalie Kalbach this week, and some of Nathalie's friends have been joining us. There are 3 prize packaages up for grabs, and anyone can win! Visit the Stampendous Blog for full details. I have been thinking a lot about the recent tragedy to the LGBT community in Orlando, and I decided to use Nathalie's Urban Scribble set for today's project. I started off with the foam stamp (the blank side) and colored a rainbow on it using my Tombow Dual Brush markers. I sprayed the foam stamp with a little water to re-wet the colors, and get some nice splotches. I applied the stamp, then I went back with the detail stamp and inked it up with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Then, using the stencil that comes in the Urban Scribble set, plus the Picasso tool, I stenciled some pixelated clouds in the background. I hand wrote "Love is Love." I decided to not make this a card..but rather some

As a special surprise for Tammy, we have a combination of current and former DT members participating in the hop. Her inspiring art and generous heart have touched us all. We want to take a moment to show our gratitude and thank Tammy for the blessings and joys we have received as members of the ADFD DT. Our theme is “A Collection of ADFD Favorites” - so each DT member’s blog you visit will share something she has created with one of her favorite ADFD images. The hop has hidden prizes - a commenter from each hidden prize stop will win a choice of one image from the ADFD Shop ! You won’t know where the prizes are hidden, so be sure to leave a comment at each stop of the Hop! Our Blog Hop will run from 7:00 a.m. eastern standard time on Saturday, February 25, 2017 until 9:00 p.m. eas
