Unique Pets with Wicked Wednesday

Hello! It's time for a new Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge. This week, the theme is "Unique Pets," and we are sponsored by Ppinky Dolls . How would you like to have a unicorn as a pet? Personally, I'd rather have it as a friend, instead of a pet...but I sure would love to know one!I used my Tombow Dual Brush markers to color this image in. I used some ombre washi tape in the background. I love the theme for this week, and I hope you do too. Please be sure to visit the res of the WW gals over on the blog , to see what they've created. I'll be back tomorrow with a surprise! Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Owl Dear

Hello! It's my turn to post another new project over on the A Day for Daisies Blog , so of course I wanted to share it here as well. With the new system in play at ADfD, 3 of my posts each month are whatever images I'd like to use. And my goodness...there are so many to choose from! Today, I made a 6x6 mini page with the enchanting image called  Owl Dear . I have a love for birds and magical looking images, and this one certainly suits me. I colored this beauty using only a few Zig Clean Color Markers and a water brush. I really didn't want any "color."Just neutral tones. I'd actually like to color her the same way again but bi gg er. I have this cool shimmery metallic paper that I used for the background, some vellum and gray scraps that I dry embossed. But the most important other additions to the mini page were the stamps I just got from Hero Arts . Oh man, I hope you don't get sick of seeing them because I am going to use the new Dreams are Mad...

Summer Camp with Wicked Wednesday

Hello! It's time for a new challenge with Wicked Wednesday . This week, we are sponsored by Lacy Sunshine , and the theme is "Summer Camp." I used Roasted Marshmallows for my ATC. I colored her with my Tombow Dual Brush markers. I used some scraps that I had on my craft desk for her background. The bottom portion was inked by me for a different project, and the upper part was printed. I inked the edges to tie all the colors together. The 2 sentiments are both from Sweet Stamp Shop . Now I'm in the mood to go roast some marshmallows! Time to light the fire pit! Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Wednesday team over on the blog. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

An Apple a Day

Hello out there! I have a second A Day for Daisies project to share with you today. Let's jump right in, shall we? I adore this lovely image, called  An Apple a Day . She's just pure sweetness. What's better than taking a nice big bite out of life?  I colored her with Zig Clean Color markers and a water brush. I worked directly on my card base for everything except the focal image. Something I very rarely do. But, I think it turned out well. The hexagons were stenciled on with Danube Blue Memento ink from Imagine . My sentiment is part of a much bigger stamp from Stampendous, found HERE .  I inked and colored the sentiment with Memento markers. That's it for me today. I'll be back tomorrow with a new Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge. hanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Bed Head Lady

Hello! I have a card featuring A Day for Daises today. In case you didn't know, we are now doing a single monthly challenge, and the Design Team will be sharing various projects throughout the month over on the ADfD blog . When I first saw this image (her name is Bed Head Lady ), it immediately reminded me of Lucille Ball. She was gorgeous and hilarious, and I could just imagine a skit beginning with stumbling around after getting out of bed yelling to Dezi, "I'm up. What more do you want." I colored her with Zig Clean Color markers. I've got to say, I think these Zigs are my new favorite markers. You can create so many fantastic effects with them. For my sentiment, I used words from the now-closed (sadly) Smeared Ink set, Lil Grumpies. I used Night Sky VersaMark ink from Imagine. I didn't have a "more" stamp, so I cut one from a K. & Co. paper sentiment. I inked the edges with Desert Sand Memento ink, also from Imagine, and my rik-ra...

Tic Tac Toe: Xyron and Imagine Collaoration

Hello! This week the Artists in Residence for Imagine have been hopping along with Xyron. Xyron, as I am sure you know, makes amazing adhesives plus the coolest and best machines out there to apply them. Home made stickers galore!!! I got to use my 9" Creative Station for the project I am sharing with you today. Check it out. I decided to make a travel Tic Tac Toe game for my kids. Using the 5" laminating cartridge in the Creative Station allowed me to make the game spill proof and strong. I sprayed a pale yellow cardstock with some shimmery Fireworks! sprays in Rose Bud and Bahama Blue. After the sprays dried, I applied some Tear It! Tape and some yummy Stampendous! glitter to make the boxes. Then, I ran it through my Creative Station, which you can see below. Now on to the game pieces! I let my kids choose what stamps they wanted me to use for their game pieces. I gave them the retired Just Icons set from Sweet Stamps Shop because the sizes were perfect. My da...

Anthropomorpism with Wicked Wednesday

Hello! It's Wednesday, so it's time for a new Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge. This week, the challenge is "Anthropomorpism." We are sponsored by Miezo Digi Stamps . I used the Tree in Summer digi. He's colored with Tombow Dual Brush Markers. I gave him a loose fussy cut, because it would have been uber tough for me to do all of those little leaves. For my background, I used a really old wood grain stamp (I love this one!) with the Cappuccino Kaleidacolor ink pad by Imagine. This pad makes it so simple to get lots of colors on to one stamp in one easy step. Then, I sprinkled on some Shabby Green embossing powder from Stampendous around the edges and heated it from underneath. Please be sure to visit the Wicked Wednesday team over on the blog for more! Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Use School Paper with ADfD

Greetings! It's time for a new challenge with A Day for Daises ! And, we are going to be changing things up a little bit...so please be sure to visit the ADfD Blog to get all of the info. For our newest challenge, we ant you to use "School Paper." What that means is up to your interpretation. Here's my creation. I used the Painter's Palette image for my piece. I have been playing with my new Zig Clean Color Markers, and I cannot say enough great things about them. They're awesome, and soooo perfect for this image. I love how the colors turned out on the palette. I used 2 Zigs for each paint drop, and i think the finished effect was cool. I also played a bit with a water brush, which I have ever used before. I still prefer a regular brush with a cup f water to a water brush, but it's fun to play with and good for traveling. For the "School Paper," I took a calendar page out of my son's planner from school. It's last year'...

Things you Might Find at the Beach with WW

Hello! It's time for a new Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge. This week, our theme is "Things You Might Find at the Beach," and our sponsor is PolkaDoodles . This is Seashore Shannon . I colored her with my Tombow Dual Brush markers and then I cut her out. For the background, I chose a pale peach cardstock and I added a little bit of each of the vials from Stampendous' Beach Embossing Powder Kit . By layering the colors, you can create the look of an actual beach! You have to be really careful not to sprinkle too much, and to not knock the powders around once they've been poured. Then, you heat from underneath. What would you like to find by the sea? Do you get to visit the beach often? I don't go very often, but when I do, I love to look for shells, sea glass, and anything else I can find. I plan on taking my son's metal detector soon (with my kids, of course!). Please join us at Wicked Wednesday this week. And don't forget to check out what th...
