Hello again!  Stampendous has these awesome stamps called "All in Ones." Fran Seiford, Owner and Founder of Stampendous, understands that holiday card making can be time consuming. Plus, it's not always easy to find images that go together to make the perfect card. Enter the All in Ones from Stampendous. These darling stamps are the perfect size to make a whole card. Easy shapes to cut with scissors or simply stamp on a colored background, these stamps have a focal image, a background, a frame, and a phrase for the holidays. Just stamp it, sign it, mail it. Greetings! The A Day for Daises team is busy showcasing the Veggie Lover images, and this week is also a new challenge week. So, we ask that you "Add Some Plaid!" ***If you are looking for my Left of Center Post, please click HERE . I used the Fancy Onion for my project today. I painted the image with watercolors. I didn't think I'd ever enjoy painting veggies...but ya know what? It's a lot of fun! I found a great plaid in my stash that worked perfectly with my onions. I die cut a couple of ovals, and I textured some of the edges for a more rustic feel. Then I used my Small Typewriter Font alphabet set from Stampendous for my sentiment. The rest of the card is pretty simple so the onions would really be highlighted. So, will you join us this week? Don't forget to add some plaid! Hello out there! I have a new Left of Center project for you today. This week, we are sponsored by SLS Lines , and the challenge is to "Use Mainly Blue." ***If you are looking for my A Day for Daisies Post, please click HERE . I chose to work with Garden Fairy Flower Fairy . I think she's so pretty. I colored her with my Tombow watercolor markers, and used some chalks for my background. Here's a closeup. For my card base, I used a purple Dylusions spray on the super cool Mosaic Swirls Dreamweaver stencil. I spritzed the stencil directly, and then placed the wet stencil on to my green card. This gave me the negative image of the stencil. Of course, I sprayed the stencil on to white cardstock, so I have the positive image to use at a later date. The Stampendous team has been building snowmen all week, and since it's Dreamweaver Thursday, we will be using some fabulous stencils with today's projects. Today, my card features the Whispered Wishes stamp and the Chevron Background stencil. I colored these sweet friends with my Chameleon Pens . This is a great image for those pens. I also love that this image has a sentiment built right in. Making your finished card is that much easier because of it. And, you can always not ink the sentiment if you don't want to use it...or only ink the sentiment. Lots of options here! For the Chevron Background, I used the super fun and sparkly Double Glitter Technique. You can check out a video tutorial HERE . It's really easy, and the effect is fantastic! On my card base, I sprayed a little green Dylusions spray. This is a pretty quick card to make. Hello! It's time for a new Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge. This week, we are sponsored by Oddball Art , and the theme is "Back to School." I made a little twist on that though. I used Ms. Ann Thrax #102B for my ATC. I cropped her quite a bit so that I can get her upper half bigger on my ATC. I colored her with Prismacolor markers, and I used the Small Typography set from Stampendous for my sentiment that reads, "Back to Ghoul." She looks like she would be a fun teacher, doesn't she? Ugh, I can't even believe I used that title....as now that darn song is going to be stuck in my head for days. Not really a huge fan of the film, although it is beautiful, and I do like Olaf. Speaking of the little snowman, this week, the Stampendous team is sharing various projects made with snowmen. And I've got one to share with you today. I used the Build a Snowman set (no, really! That's what it's called!) I built these 2 friends using several of the stamps in the set. 6 total, plus the sentiment. I also used 5 snowflakes from the set on my card base. I colored the snowmen with Prismacolor markers, and 2 Spectrum Noir markers. I created the clouds (or crazy avalanche?) using the Picasso Stencil from Stampendous/Dreamweaver. I used Tumbled Glass ink for that. I used a Spellbinders die to cut that funky shape out. I heat embossed my snowflake background with Sparkle Puff embossing powder. It has just enough dimension, coupled with just enough glitter. ...

Hello! The A Day for Daisies team is showcasing some delicious veggies! You still have time to "Add Some Sequins" with our latest challenge, so get those projects made. Today, I am sharing a card that I made with Fancy Onion, but I colored it to look like garlic. Though, as a gardener, I must mention that garlic is in the onion family. I used Copics to color the foliage, and Spectrum Noir to color the bulbs. I loved making this card because it came together so quickly. Here's a close up. I used a Spellbinder die for my oval, a scrap for my band of patterned cardstock, a Kraft card base, and a creamy gray for my background. Ooh! And 3 pearls....it needed some pearls. It's Dreamweaver Thursday and all this week, the Stampendous team has been sharing lots of amazing projects featuring these fantabulous stencils. Today I am sharing a project with a new (to me) technique, called the Zero Drawing Technique. This was fun and really easy! HERE 's a great video on exactly how to do this technique. Basically, I used a graphite pencil and 2 erasers from Tombow, plus a sponge dauber, and 2 great Dreamweaver stencils. I used the Leafless Tree Stencil and Pumpkins Stencil . I placed the pumpkins first, and then worked different parts of the tree around it. I also used the Zero Eraser to add some extra vies and leaves to the stems of 2 of the pumpkins. The Zero Eraser is so teeny that it's perfect for detail work like that.  The other eraser I used was the MONO NP Eraser . After I finished my image, I distressed the edges and mounted it simply on black cardstock and then on to a white card. I kept it all on the left side so I could add a ...

Greetings! I have a new A Day for Daisies challenge to share with you today. for the next 2 weeks, the theme is to "Use Sequins."  I used one of the images from the August Club kit for my card. It's called Vintage Lip Stick. Isn't she a beauty? I colored her with my Tombow watercolor markers. I had so much fun coloring her! And, now I miss having my hair totally pink. I added some sequins around just the left side of the card, because the paper I used on the right is so fantastic, and quite frankly, it's kinda fuzzy...so sticking stuff to it can be tricky. My sentiment is from the Stampendous Discover Today Perfectly Clear set. An interesting point that I'd like to mention is that the lipstick color here was my inspiration for my hair color last week. Greetings! It's time for some more Mousey Mischief with the Stampendous Design Team. Since it's Dreamweaver Thursday, we have all incorporated some fabulous Dreamweaver Stencils along with the sweet House Mouse Designs images. For my project today, I created a back to school card for one of my kids. I used School Supplies for my House Mouse stamp. I love that he's juggling with his feet! I used one of the Nesting Frames dies from Dreamweaver to cut the image out. I kept the die in place and applied some Summer Sky Versa Color ink with a sponge dauber around the perimeter. When I removed the die, I had a thin white border around the edge. The stamped image itself was colored with my Tombow markers. For my background, I used the Lg Chunky Tools stencil, which is becoming a fast favorite of mine. I used Smokey Gray ink and a dauber to use only the pencil portion of the stencil. I used Alice in Teacup for my ATC. I colored her with my Tombow watercolor markers. I used a piece of blue cardstock for my ATC base, and I sprinkles some Stampendous Shabby Blue Embossing Enamel from the Blue Encrusted Jewel Kit  and I heat set it. The Stampendous team is playing with some of the cutest little creatures out there this week....House Mouse! Or...mice.... Now, my regular followers know that I prefer the creepy to the cute, but I just cannot resist the stamps from House Mouse Designs! When I owned my scrapbooking and stamping store, I was sure to always have some House Mouse stamps in stock. My sister Pam's birthday was this past weekend, and she adores House Mouse, so I knew I needed to use one for her Birthday card. This little cutie is certainly up to some Mousey Mischief.  I used the Cupcake Jump stamp for my card. Who wouldn't want to jump into a cupcake? I colored this cutie with my Tombow watercolor markers. I also used a sentiment from the Birthday Assortment Perfectly Clear set. For my background, I sprayed the Graduated Dot Dreamweaver stencil with yellow and teal Dylusions spray (and I was sure to flip the sprayed stencil on to a new sheet of paper so I have the negative image for a later...

Today we are remembering Lily Chilvers a truly beautiful artist and soul taken from us too soon. To honour Lily we are sharing projects we have made in her memory using the wonderful, whimsical and wacky art she shared with us all. For my project, I used Cedric , which was one of the first images I had gotten from Lily.  I colored Cedric with alcohol and watercolor markers. For the border on my green cardstock, I used Spoonful of Rust from Stampendous.  I didn't want to add too much to the card. The Spoonful of Rust and Cedric did more than enough to make the card cool. I simply wrote out my little sentiment with a white PITT pencil from Faber Castell.  It hurts so much to know that Lily has passed....and I wanted to have this hop to try and help us all let our feelings out and share how much we loved Lily and her art. Hello! I have a 2-fer for you today. My first project is for the Fall theme that we Stampendous gals have been sharing with you all week. The second is for the new August Club Kit from A Day for Daisies . Let me start by saying that I LOVE House Mouse stamps! If you've been following me for a while, you know that I prefer creepy stuff...but when it comes to House Mouse images, I just melt! For today's card, I used Trick or Tweet . I colored the stamp with a combination of Tombow watercolor markers and Copics. I also used watercolor paints for my sky. If you look really close, you'll see that the bird has a teeny seed that he's giving to the trick or tweeters. For my background, I used the negative background that I had created for yesterday's card....scroll down to my next post to see! While I am loving the heat of the Summer here in NY, Fall is my favorite season. This week, the Stampendous team is creating beautiful things with a Fall theme. Since it's Dreamweaver Thursday, my project today features a few of our awesome stencils. I started off with the Large Maple Leaf stencil, and I inked it with an olive ink from Tsukineko and a stencil brush. Then, I used the Houndstooth Stencil and a gray ink. To achieve this look, you need to leave the leaf stencil in place, and then tape the Houndstooth stencil on top. This will keep you from stenciling anywhere besides the leaf area. Of course, you can change this technique up to fit whichever stencils you want to use. Then, I cut the leaf out. The color is a wee bit off in this photo. The top photo shows the color correctly. My background was cut from the same piece of pale green cardstock that I used for my leaf. I took the stencil that comes with the Wired (NKCRS02) stamp set, and I sprayed it with Pale Ale ...
