Alison the Witch from Tiddly Inks

Greetings! Today I am sharing a project with you that features Alison the Witch from Tiddly Inks . She is my favorite image from Tiddly Inks (though I LOVE so many!). Why? Well, you may have read this story before, but this particular image was actually made for me by Christy Croll, owner and artist of Tiddly Inks. I won a contest several years ago, and I got to give Christy some design cues on what I wanted the image to look like. And this image is just perfect! I use her whenever I can. I colored Alison with my Zig Clean color markers, using some of my favorite colors. She was stamped on to Canson Mixed Media Paper, which is my favorite to use with these markers. I had plans on adding all sorts of layers and embellishments for this card, but as I was making it, my direction totally changed. That's one of the fun things about creating things though, right? Seeing how your original idea morphs into a new one? Love that. So you'll notice that this photo is a little d...

CSI Case File #231

Hello there! I am excited to share that I am a Guest Detective with C.S.I. Color, Stories, Inspiration . This is my first time playing along with this scrapbooking challenge, and I am really excited to join in with Case File #231. *This post contains affiliate links at no cost to you. Here is the Case File. I thought that the Case File had so many great elements and aspects to it, and I knew I wanted to use photos from the lake that is near our home. I found some fun pictures from one of the times we walked our dogs to the lake. Looking over the case file, I was inspired by the mushrooms, and used a few from Stampendous. They were colored with Memento Markers and then fussy cut. My layout's background was made by stamping the Summer Leaves Perfectly Clear set all over with Bamboo Leaves Memento Ink. The Case File prompted us to have our journaling inside of a pocket, which I made out of a deep green cardstock. I wrote about how we love to explore the beauty of w...

Sharing Handmade Kindness

Hello! I am a big fan of Jennifer McGuire . Her techniques and videos are always so inspiring, and she just seems like a fantastic person. If you haven't watched her videos before, you can check out her YouTube Channel HERE . She is always sending her friends cards, something I really do't do enough. And, she frequently mentions how important it is to simply share handmade kindness. With everyone. I love this idea, and she is encouraging people to participate in this "movement" to share handmade kindness. I am going to participate, and the card I am sharing today is the first example. I am so in love with the Vintage Flowers set from Altenew , I knew I had to use them on some of the cards I make to share with friends. I used 4 colors of ink from Imagine to create the layered flowers. All were VersaColor . I used Smoke Blue, Heliotrope, Violet and Grape. The leaves were done with Memento ink in New Sprout, Pear Tart, and Bamboo Leaves. It was pretty simple to cho...
