Mermaids with Left of Center Challenges

Hello! There's a new challenge from the B Team of Left of Center Challenges . This week, we challenge you to use Mermaids or a Water Theme for your projects. We are sponsored by Nikki Burnette . I used Mina for my card. ***If you are looking for my newest post in the Dreamweaver Stencils hop, please click HERE . I just purchased a brand new set of watercolor markers (one of my favorite mediums) and this is the first image I colored with them! I need to get more used to them, as they act differently from my other watercolor markers. But I like how she turned out, except her skin looks super blotchy in my photos, and in real life, she isn't. I used to of the Long Nesting Oval Dies from Dreamweaver Stencils. Don't you just love that blue glittery cardstock? I inked and clear embossed my card's edges, and I added a piece of a corner punch from Martha Stewart, and a few pearls. Be sure to play along! It's a simple and fun theme! Plus, it goes along with N

A Little Cute, A Little Creepy

Hello out there! I have 2 projects to share with you today. The first is for the formerly A Step in the Dark, now known as Create and Inspire.  We are sponsored by Stitchy Bear . Check this chic out! She is mad and ready to take it out on someone! I colored her using my colored pencils and then I spritzed irRESISTables from Imagine Crafts on top for a messy, textured look. Here's a close up. I enjoyed making her unusual skin color. I used a cool, craggy Martha Stewart punch to frame the image. My second project is the polar opposite of my first. It's for Wicked Wednesday . I used Cherry Love Blossom from Lacy Sunshine , who is our sponsor this week. The theme is Cherry Blossoms. I colored the image with watercolor markers. I used a different kind of spritz for this one...glimmery and flat. She's definitely sweet...and terrified of the chic above her. She's gonna just hang out down here and hope the crazy one doesn't see her. ;) I hope you will j

Spring is in the Air with Wicked Wednesday

It's almost Spring!!! I say that as it flurried this very morning here in NY. Ugh. But, my bulbs are starting to pop up from the recently frozen ground. So, on that note, I bring you Wicked Wednesday's newest challenge, Spring is in the Air. And we are sponsored by one of my favorite digi stamp companies, A Day for Daisies . I used the adorable image "Nothing to Do" which reminds me very much or Karma Wilson's "Bear" series. If you have little ones, you've got to read these delightful stories. So, when I saw this image, and since these stories mean so much to my family, I knew I had to use this digi. I used a combination of alcohol markers and watercolor paints to color up the image. I had some sweet spring paper that I used for my ATC base, with a little ink around the edge. Simple and sweet is what I wanted, and that's what I've got. Please be sure to visit the rest of the WW DT to see what they've created. Thanks for stoppi

Good Luck/Bad Luck? Happy Friday the 13th!

Greetings! Time for a new challenge from the B Team of Left of Center ! This week, we are sponsored by Meljen's Designs , and the theme is "Good Luck/Bad Luck." I used Steampunk Girl and turned her into a leprechaun. I used my watercolor markers and a touch of Spectrum Noir markers (just for her skin) to color the image. For the base of my card, I used the fantastic Spiral Dots stencil from Dreamweaver. I used to colors of Distress Ink to color the dots. My kids love St. Patrick's Day, so I'll be giving this card to them next week. Shhhh!!!!!!!!! Don't tell them! ;) Please be sure to stop by the LOC blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with. Thank for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

March into Spring with Dreamweaver

Ready for fresh air, sunshine, new leaves, and flowers blooming? Well, the Dream Team is right there with you! Our challenge for the month of March is...coincidentally...Marching into Spring. Per usual, we'd love to have you play along with us, and link your own creations to the  Inlinkz  tool on the  Dream It Up!   blog, or at the bottom of this post. Play as many times as you'd like. Those of you who work  Dreamweaver  and/or   Stampendous  products into your projects receive bonus points, but everyone has an opportunity to be the winner who receives the stencil of their choice. Here's my hint of Spring: I started off by using the new Beams stencil. I inked it up using 5 colors of Ditsress Ink, which I applies by using cosmetic sponges. After that, I applied white Embossing Paste to the Lotus stencil. After it dried, I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers. Then, I dabbed on some Glossy Accents with my finger, and sprinkled glitter on top. I used

Going Earthy

Hello! I have 2 projects to share with you today. Both on the "Earthy" side. The first is for the Create and Inspire team, formerly A Step in the Dark. My other is for Wicked Wednesday . This is Earth Spirit from Poppyseed Graphics . I colored her with a combination of watercolor markers and Copic markers. I added some orange Stickles for a bit of sparkle and dimension. I also used cardstock from the DCWV Street Lace paper pad, because I thought it went really well with the background of this pretty image. For Wicked Wednesday, the theme is "Going Green." We are sponsored by Oddball Art . I had fun with this theme! Look at these zombies! That little bird cracks me up. I colored this image with my watercolor markers. How fun is her hair? I loved working with this image. These zombies are really into "going green," don't you think? Please join in with these challenges! I'd love to see your creations. Thanks for stopping by. Have
