Metal Charms with Dilly Beans, and Bring the Heat with Bombshell

Happy Friday! I have 2 project to share with you today. The first is for Dilly Beans . For this 2 week challenge, you need to add a metal charm. The other is for Bombshell Stamps . Ms. February asked us to "Bring the Heat," which, being that it is literally 18 degrees out right now, I would really enjoy. Here's my Dilly Beans project. As you can tell from the tropical feel of this card, I am really freaking cold. I cannot wait for the warm weather! I used image #571- Brooke for my card. I love her flower. My "Aloha" is fro the Bombshell set, Hawaiian Girl . Now, on to Bombshell! This card also used the Hawaiian Girl set. That's where the trees came from. The lounging lady came from the Rise and Shine set. I would really like to be where she is right now. My background is done entirely with  torn paper. It was a lot of fun, and my daughter got a kick out of seeing me create the scene. I hope you liked my projects! And I really hope that ...

February Bombshell Hump Day Hop and Wicked Wednesday

Hi! I have 2 projects to share with you. It's Wednesday, so not only do I have a new Wicked Wednesday ATC for you, but it's the last Wednesday of the month so it's time for the Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop. This week's WW challenge, is Kids at Play, and we are sponsored by Digi Darla. What kid doesn't love pinwheels? I colored this little guy with m watercolor markers. I used the colors of one of my son's shirts for inspiration. See the cute little blue strip with the boat? That's actually the top of a paint chip. I thought it was the perfect little somethin' somethin' the ATC needed to add a bit more of the "playful" feeling. On to Bombshell! I chose to challenge our hoppers this month to a color challenge. I love color challenges! I found a beautiful palette from Design Seeds. Here it is. I told the hoppers that they need to use at least 3 of these colors, and can only add black, white, and neutrals to their projects. Here...

February Flutters with Dreamweaver Stencils

Greetings! I was pretty inspired to play along with this month's Dreamweaver Stencils challenge which is February Flutters. Plus, I just won a new (to me) stencil so I just had to use it. Here's my creation. I started off with my new Lotus stencil (LG 720 ), and I chalked it with 4 colors all over my card. Then I used Black Embossing Paste with the Butterfly ( LJ 916 ). I let it sit for about an hour, and then with a brush, I applied Nouveau Orange, Amber Glow, Kimono Red, and Moonstone Metallic F/X  randomly. Look at the pretty shimmer! Then I added a border with a Martha Stewart punch, and my "Flutter" sentiment is from Smeared Ink . Thank you for joining me today. Have an inspiring day!

Farewell to Chromatic Craze

I'm sad to say that Chromatic Craze will be coming to an end. It was certainly fun while it lasted! Thank you so much Laura , for having me on your team. I just adore color challenges, ad working with you, my friend!!! I love these jewel tones. Here's the card that I made. I used glossy cardstock and alcohol inks for my background. Then I just played around with some papers, shapes, and a couple of stamps. My sentiment is from Bombshell Stamps . See the sheen of the glossy cardstock? I hope you will play along with the final Chromatic Craze challenge. Please be sure to visit the blog to see more creations, and give us a farewell. Thanks for stopping by, Have an inspiring day!

WW: Anti Valentine's Day with Smeared Ink

Hello! It's time for a new Wicked Wednesday challenge! This week we are sponsored by Smeared Ink , and the theme is Anti-Valentine's Day. I used 3 Smeared Ink rubber stamps for my ATC. The heart and "broken" are from the Heart Wings set and the diamond background is from Quoth the Raven. I embossed and inked and smudged and inked some more. You can see the texture on the wings from the embossing powder I used. Valentine's Day is not a favorite holiday of mine, so I was happy to make this ATC. Don't get me wrong, I got wonderful prezzies from my husband, i just prefer many other holidays over this one. Will you join us this week at Wicked Wednesday ? I hope you do! Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Hearts and Love with Dilly Beans

Hi! It's Friday!!!!!!!! And it's Valentine's Day....not one of my favorite holidays (though I do LOVE the chocolate!). I just never cared much for the day. But, we are celebrating with Dilly Beans . The theme for the next 2 weeks is Hearts and Love. Here's my card. I used #554 Penny's Heart.  She's so sweet, and I love her hair. I used watercolors for Penny and a Heidi Swapp stencil with ink for the background hearts. Here's a closer look. I am giving my very loving husband this card for V-Day. I'm hoping he's not looking at my computer screen while I type this! ;) My heart stickers are vellum. Here's a little tip.....I didn't like seeing a bit of the plaid, and a bit of the green cardstock through the striped heart. So I stuck it to white cardstock and then cut it out. Problem solved! Please be sure to check out the rest of the Dilly Beaners projects over at the Challenge Blog. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Wicked Wednesday: Aquarius

Greetings! I have a new Wicked Wednesday challenge to share with you today. This week, we are sponsored by Delicious Doodles . LOVE Teri's images. The challenge this week is Aquarius. Delicious Doodles came out with 2 sets of astrological digis. The Astrology Collection and the Horrorscope Collection. I chose to go with the Horrorscope version of Aquarius . I colored her with colored pencils. She really looks rather wicked, no? The image has a lot of great detail, so I didn't want to overwhelm it with lots of "stuff" so I kept the rest of the ATC simple. Wanna see more? Then please visit the rest of the Wicked Wednesday team! Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Muse Monday: Sugar Daddy -Week 2

Hello out there! I switched things up a little and I am posting my Bombshell Stamps Muse Monday during Week 2, instead of Week 1. This month, we are featuring the Sugar Daddy set. Check this guy out! Isn't he a slickster? I can't tell if he's friend or foe. What do you think? I colored him with alcohol markers and colored pencils. Sometimes 1 on top of the other. Like o his pants, for example. Spectrum Noir first, followed by colored pencil. I like the look of that. I embossed my background with a Fiskars plate. I thought the brick wall was perfect. Do you have this set yet? Do you want it? Then get it in February, because it's on sale! And be sure to visit the Bombshell Blog each Monday to see more fun projects featuring the Sugar Daddy set. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Wicked Wednesday: Valentine's Day

Hiya folks! It's Wednesday, so I have a new Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge to share with you. This week, the theme is "Valentine's Day," and we are sponsored by Eureka! Stamps .  I used the beautiful Lg. Knot Heart image. I colored the image with Copics and Spectrum Noir markers. Here's a closer look. The colors look a little washed out, but I used a pretty and soft minty green in the negative space of the heart. It was a nice contrast to the pinks. How great is my chunky glitter? My friend Aeryn gave me a bunch of fabulous colors, and this is the first time I got to use them. They are from Martha Stewart. I hope you will join us this week. Please be sure to visit the WW Blog to see what the rest of the team came up with. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
