21st Century Pillow Book

Hello! It's the first Friday of the month, so that means it's time for a new challenge from A Day for Daisies. This month, the theme is "2 or More Layers." I used Chicks in a Snow Globe for my card. I colored the cute little chicks with my Zig Clean Color Markers. It's hard to tell, but I used glittery embossing powder on top of the snow globe. Here's another shot so that you can see it better. I used 2 layers (to go with the theme!) of Crystal embossing powder from Stampendous . It's really tough to photograph, but it is very sparkly in real life. My sentiment is also from Stampendous (called Favorite Peeps ), and I used VersaFine ink to apply it. Please be sure to check out what the rest of the A Day for Daisies team has created. Hello! I have a tag to share with you today that features Fashion Gifts from A Day for Daisies . I colored the image with my Zig Clean Color Markers. I cut her out, and then die cut a Tim Holtz tag. I played with some Dylusions paint, as well as a Nathalie Kalbach stencil from the Fashion Dame set. The stencil was inked with Night Sky VersaMagic from Imagine . I used the Wander stamp from Stampendous at the bottom, and added some ribbons to the top. I thought the sentiment was appropriate for ladies that like to roam the mall. I am entering this into the newest Simon Says Stamp challenge , which is "New Something." This gal has certainly purchased a lot of new somethings...I wonder what they are! Hello! Every month, I like to print out a calendar for myself that has room for me to write about the Design Team projects that I need to have done, and important dates/events to remember. There are so many printable calendars available online. Just do a quick Google or Pinterest search, and you are sure to find a ton. I printed the one I used because I loved the sweet florals on it. I just used regular printer paper. I decided that Versa Magic inks were perfect to mimic the soft, painterly flowers because of their chalk-like finish. And to go along with the inks, I used the new Journal Bullets set from Stampendous to embellish the calendar. I started off just stamping some of the images that I liked on days that we have little events happening. But, the imaged needed a bit more punch, so I decided to color them in using the VersaMagic inks and Fantastix. Just by lightly rubbing the Fantastix against the ink pad gives you plenty of ink to work with. I colored the images ...

Hello! This month, the Imagine team was challenged to make projects that included white, and/or Shimmer & Sparkle, so for this card I decided to go with both. Here's how to make it. Supplies: Imagine : Delicata Inkpads and Refills: Golden Glitz, Shimmery Silver Craft Mat Ink Potion No. 9 StazOn : Jet Black Amplify! : White irRESISTable : Pico Embellisher in Tuxedo Black & Wedding Dress Palette Knife Other : Spellbinders : Seth Apter Embossing Fold'er Gridiron Black and White cardstock Recollections: Brayer Stencil Girl : Urban Insiders Start Stencil Beacon Adhesives: Zip Dry Glue Directions: 1. Using the Golden Glitz and Shimmery Silver refill inks, squirt some of each on to your Craft Mat. 2. Sprtiz with Ink Potion No. 9 to help keep the inks wet, and to get them to move easier. 3. Using a brayer, roll and blend the colors together, covering the roller. Do not over mix the colors. 4. Roll the brayer over smooth black cardstock. I us...

Merry Christmas Eve! Today I am sharing a card I made using the adorable Candy Elf C from A Day for Daisies . I made this card very graphic and bold. The elf was colored with Zig Clean Color Markers and then cut out. For my background, I laid down the Houndstooth stencil (one of my absolute favorites) from Stampendous (Dreamweaver), and spritzed it with a green Dylusions spray. I also flipped the stencil on to a another piece of cardstock to get the negative image and to not waste the overspray. After the green dried, I used the red Dylusions paint on the small bubble wrap stamp that comes with the Rounds Creative Palette .  I applied the paint with my finger so that I didn't use too much on the stamp. After the paint dried, I stamped and re-stamped the "Make Merry" with VersaFine ink from Imagine.
