Pick of the Patch

Hello! It is no secret that Autumn is my favorite season. I love all things Halloween, the weather, the changing colors of leaves, the pumpkins... that's what inspired my card today. I was also inspired by Lawn Fawn. Both for their adorable Pick of the Patch stamps and their current challenge, wish is "Awesome Autumn." I picked up this stamp set from White Rose Crafts LLC. They have a ton of Lawn Fawn goodies there!

I decided to not color my pumpkin patch. Instead, I used 3 patterns from Lawn Fawn's Perfectly Plaid "Chill" 6x6" paper pack. I stamped the pumpkins several times on each paper using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne, and then colored in the stems with a brown marker. I fussy cut each of the pumpkins, which was simple enough to do.

I decided that I absolutely needed some critters on this card, so I cut and colored the squirrels that come in the Pick of the Patch set with Zig Clean Color Markers. My background was created with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink, softly blended on to my cream colored cardstock. I also cut a piece of brown cardstock on a curve, and 2 layers of die cut grass.

To finish off my card, I added a sentiment (stamped with Twilight VersaFine Clair ink) and a few sequins from Doodles Paper Playground. I just love the plaid pumpkins and those playful squirrels!

Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it's a 4x4" stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again.
