Candy Elf C

Merry Christmas Eve! Today I am sharing a card I made using the adorable Candy Elf C from A Day for Daisies.

I made this card very graphic and bold. The elf was colored with Zig Clean Color Markers and then cut out.

For my background, I laid down the Houndstooth stencil (one of my absolute favorites) from Stampendous (Dreamweaver), and spritzed it with a green Dylusions spray. I also flipped the stencil on to a another piece of cardstock to get the negative image and to not waste the overspray. After the green dried, I used the red Dylusions paint on the small bubble wrap stamp that comes with the Rounds Creative Palette.  I applied the paint with my finger so that I didn't use too much on the stamp.

After the paint dried, I stamped and re-stamped the "Make Merry" with VersaFine ink from Imagine. On my red card base, I used Jeweled Gold embossing powder from Stampendous around the edges and I stamped just a couple of snowflakes in white. I think this card is really fun, …

I used Three Christmas Sweaters, and I think they are so cute! I colored them with my Zig Clean Colored Markers for these pups. My sentiment is from Stampendous' Holiday Expressions set.

I grabbed some scrap paper to finish it off and my ATC was complete. I hope that you'll play along with us this week. Please be sure to visit the Wicked Wednesday Blog to see what the rest of the team created. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Winter Hats or Accessories with WW

Greetings! It's time for a new challenge over at Wicked Wednesday. This week, the challenge is "Winter Hats or Accessories," and we are sponsored by Miss Rach.

I used the sweet Winter Cardinal for my ATC. Cardinals hold a special place in my heart as they were my dad's favorite. I colored him with my Zig Clean Color Markers.

I added some fun paper and a wee bit of glitter on the bottom. I love this cardinal, and Miss Rach has lots of other wonderful digis, and I hope you check out her shop. Also, please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Wednesday gals over on the blog. Sadly, no one played along last week, so I truly hope you will join us this time around. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Peace on Earth

Season's Greetings! Today, I am sharing a new card tutorial featuring some of the wonderful products from Imagine. We were given the themes of "White" and " Shimmer and Sparkle" for the month of December, so I decided to combine the 2 into one card.

3. Remove the stencil and wash off any excess Creative Medium.…

ADfD Showcase: Add Some Sparkle!

Greetings! It's time for the newest challenge with A Day for Daisies. The theme is "Add Some Sparkle." To give you some inspiration, the Design Team is showcasing Winter Fairies. Here's my project.

I used the Christmas Tree Fairy for my card today, but I went with very non-traditional colors. I made her a bit Victorian, which is the way my mother decorates her house for the holidays.

I colored this beauty with Zig Clean Color Markers and I added sparkle with Kuratake (who makes the Zigs) Wink of Stella in clear. My background, as you can see from the above photo was embossed with Creative Medium in iridescent pink from Imagine along with the Fan Pattern Stencil by Dreamweaver. I also used a sentiment stamp from Stampendous, and spritzed my pink cardstock with Sheer Shimmer Sparkle from Imagine.

Around the edges of the card, I inked Angel Pink Versa Magic and embossed Vintage Pink Embossing Powder as well. Lots of sparkle in that powder! That's it for me today. Pl…
