Candy Elf C

Merry Christmas Eve! Today I am sharing a card I made using the adorable Candy Elf C from A Day for Daisies . I made this card very graphic and bold. The elf was colored with Zig Clean Color Markers and then cut out. For my background, I laid down the Houndstooth stencil (one of my absolute favorites) from Stampendous (Dreamweaver), and spritzed it with a green Dylusions spray. I also flipped the stencil on to a another piece of cardstock to get the negative image and to not waste the overspray. After the green dried, I used the red Dylusions paint on the small bubble wrap stamp that comes with the Rounds Creative Palette .  I applied the paint with my finger so that I didn't use too much on the stamp. After the paint dried, I stamped and re-stamped the "Make Merry" with VersaFine ink from Imagine. On my red card base, I used Jeweled Gold embossing powder from Stampendous around the edges and I stamped just a couple of snowflakes in white. I think this card i

ADfD Showcase: Add Some Sparkle!

Greetings! It's time for the newest challenge with A Day for Daisies . The theme is "Add Some Sparkle." To give you some inspiration, the Design Team is showcasing Winter Fairies. Here's my project. I used the Christmas Tree Fairy for my card today, but I went with very non-traditional colors. I made her a bit Victorian, which is the way my mother decorates her house for the holidays. I colored this beauty with Zig Clean Color Markers and I added sparkle with Kuratake (who makes the Zigs) Wink of Stella in clear. My background, as you can see from the above photo was embossed with Creative Medium in iridescent pink from Imagine along with the Fan Pattern Stencil by Dreamweaver. I also used a sentiment stamp from Stampendous , and spritzed my pink cardstock with Sheer Shimmer Sparkle from Imagine. Around the edges of the card, I inked Angel Pink Versa Magic and embossed Vintage Pink Embossing Powder as well. Lots of sparkle in that powder! That's i

Science Geeks with Wicked Wednesday

Hello! When I was a kid, I wanted to be a scientist. I didn't grow up to become one, but I am definitely still a science geek. That's our theme for this week's Wicked Wednesday ! We are sponsored by Polkadoodles . Here's my ATC. I used the Science Teacher image but I cropped it. The digi is actually is entire body, but I wanted it to be a closer look. I colored the image with my Zig Clean Color Markers and I used a Molotow white pen for the highlights of his glasses. I found a fun scrap of paper that had a tech kind of feel to it, so I used it on the bottom. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Wednesday team to see what science experiments they have concocted for you this week. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Imagine and Flourishes Blog Hop

Hello! Today is an exciting day, because the Imagine team is hopping along with Flourishes . I decided to use the My Cup Overflows  clear stamp set, because coffee has been a bit of a requirement in my life lately. I started off by stamping the images with Rich Cocoa Memento ink, and then I colored the mages with a few Memento markers. I die cut the colored images with a Fitted Frame from Stampendous. I found some deep teal cardstock that I used for a nice layer. I stamped it with the fun coffee beans that come in the stamp set, and i used the Rich Cocoa Memento ink again. Another mat was made from a rich elderberry cardstock to pull out the purple in the coffee cup. I layered everything on a white card base. A huge thank you to Flourishes for this wonderful blog hop! If you'd like to see more, please visit all of the hoppers by using the links below. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day! Imagine Blog -  https://imaginecraftsblog. com/ Barb
